2015 Minminzemi first sound

It is said that two days earlier than normal and three days earlier than last year.

As the name suggests, it is known for the sound of "Menminminminminminminminminminminminminminminminminmin ...", and is often heard on TV images as "sound effects during the summer."

It is one of the most famous cicadas that live in Japan.

The wings are transparent and feature a series of dark crests, black body color and blue-green patches.

It is only male to squeal, but the identification point of male and female of an individual that does not squeal is different in the structure of the abdomen.

Females are identified by having a protrusion that becomes a spawning tube at the tip of the abdomen, and males are identified by the development of the abdominal valve.

Even at Tsukuda Park, Minminzemi's "Cicada Time Rain" announces midsummer production.

I am surprised at the size of the squeal for the size of the body.

I hear that the pronunciation membrane of the abdomen is vibrated, amplified in the cavity (resonance room), and makes a loud noise.

The belly valve seems to play a role in adjusting the strength and tone of the sound.

Often once it sounds, it jumps off a few seconds later and moves to another tree (squealing).

Compared to the sound of Higurashi, which has a cool and elegant sound, the impression of being hot and doubled under the scorching sun cannot be wiped out, but this is also an environmental sound and feature that can only be tasted in summer.
