From Ginza-dori to Kyobashi-dori, "Warm the deceased and know the new ones"

[Taro Kachidoki] July 1, 2015 18:00

In the comment of this photo, "Look at Ginza Street and Kyobashi Street"

Yes, it is.

It is an old monochrome picture postcard before the war.

It was shot in the direction of Kyobashi from the current Chuo-dori / Ginza 2-chome area, and a tram runs on Chuo-dori, showing people riding bicycles.

It is hard to see, but the upper left part of the photo shows the 7-story First Mutual Hall completed in 1921.

This building was rebuilt afterwards, and after the second generation completed in 1971, it was transformed into the current 110 tower of the mutual building three years ago.

To the west of the building, a new Tokyo Square Garden is also open.

Tokyo Square Garden has a nice restaurant and shop service, and underground there is also a glass-filled central FM studio.

In this studio, a talk by a correspondent in Chuo-ku "Tori" is also broadcast on Weekday.

The Kyobashi redevelopment project is under construction in 2 blocks north, and next fall, a large-scale building with a design that takes advantage of the exterior of the long-established Meijiya headquarters building will be completed.

Right now, the Kyobashi area is hot and has become a hot spot.

A straight road that runs from Ginza through Kyobashi to Nihonbashi.

A street that extends to a bright future, still at the center of civilization.

We recommend a refreshing walking that feels comfortable while feeling the changing times.
