The "30 Years After Mupata Death Exhibition" is being held at the Nagai Gallery, which is close to Ginza 4-chome, the intersection of Showa-dori and Harumi-dori St., and the intersection of Miharabashi.
Mupata is S.G. Mupata, a Tanzanian-born painter who represents the trend of African contemporary art "Tinga Tinga School".
As the subtitle says "African primitive male", animals and birds are vividly depicted with vivid colors created by the African earth.
The exhibition hall is on the 4th, 5th, and 8th floors, with about 30 original drawings on display.
The expression of the animals and birds depicted is very impressive, like a person.
I feel very familiar.
It is a picture that makes you feel peaceful when you look at it.
The exhibition period is from Tuesday, July 7 to September 13 (Sunday), and the opening hours are from 11:00 to 18:00. The gallery is closed every Tuesday.
