At the Nara Mahoroba Hall in Nihonbashi Muromachi 1-chome, a statue of Zao Gongen at Kimpusen-ji Temple, which is said to have been founded by En no Gyoja, is on display.
The period is from Friday, September 25 to Wednesday, September 30.
This event commemorates the special exhibition's "The Treasures of Zao Gongen and Shugen" held at the Mitsui Memorial Museum.
Zao Gongen is Japan's unique mountaineering asceticism main deity, and Gongen means "the gods and Buddhas that appeared in the form of the right."
In the exhibition space on the first floor, photographs of the scenery of Mt. Yoshino Kimpusen-ji Temple and Sanbu-ji Temple in Tottori Prefecture are also displayed.
During this exhibition period, a tale party will be held by a monk at Kimpusen-ji Temple (reservation required).
Also, at Kimpusen-ji Temple in Yoshino-cho, Yoshino-gun, Nara Prefecture, "National Treasure Nio-mon gate Major Repair Kanjin Zaodo secret Buddha Go main deity Special Opening" will be held from Saturday, October 31 to December 6 (Sun).
