The "Ginza Spring Painting Exhibition" is being held at Nagai Gallery in Ginza 4-chome, Tokyo.
Aki Ishigami, a specially appointed assistant professor at the International Research Center for Japanese Studies, introduces how spring paintings and Tsutsumoto have been accepted by society, along with original drawings.
The main contents of the exhibition are "seeing spring paintings, reading gloss books" and "the world of" Manpuku Wagojin "".
"Manfuku Wagojin" is a unique gloss book depicting the sexual history of two women, drawn by the master Katsushika Hokusai.
The impression of seeing the spring paintings and reading the commentary of Tsutsumoto is that it was very easy to feel the life of the common people of the Edo period, and I had a good time.
I felt like I was able to understand that Japanese spring paintings and Tsutsumoto have received high praise from the perspective of art and cultural overseas.
The period is until Wednesday, December 23 and is open during the exhibition period. Children under the age of 18 are not allowed to enter the hall.
Please note that there are floors where photography can be taken and floors where photography is prohibited at the exhibition hall on the 3rd floor.
