On the 7th floor of Ginza 3-chome, Matsuya Ginza, a slightly retro car exhibition made of wood, entitled "Koji Kobayashi Exhibition-Nostalgic Cars Made of Trees-" is being held.
Citroen 2CV, Alfa Romeo 1300GTA, jaguar, Lotus Western Europe, Lotus Super 7, Rancha Strates, Beatle, BMW 2002, and Porsche 356A.
There is also a candy car in the nostalgic memory.
At the venue, Koji Kobayashi was there, and I was able to hear the story directly.
In the first place, it was said that this car was made entirely by self-taught. The materials used are many zelkova, and they use colors and wood grain materials that match the parts, such as oak, sandalwood, and Kojiro Tamo (buried ash trees that have been buried in the soil for more than 1000 years). . In addition to cars, propeller airplanes, submarines, etc. will be made.
The question of why it is a retro car is that recent cars are because the headlights are integrated with the body curves.
Mr. Kobayashi responded carefully to my poor questions with a smile all the time.
The cars lined up at the venue were carefully made by carving, shaving, and polishing one by one, and they were very warm, nostalgic, and the grain was gentle.
