Yamatoya Shirt Store EST 1876 The first story in Chuo-ku

[Silver] Nov. 11, 2015 14:00

"Yamatoya Shirt Store" in Ginza 6-chome, Chuo-ku is the first shirts shop in Japan.

According to the explanation of the "Chuo-ku First Story Map" at hand, it was explained.

5 The first shirt shop in Japan, 5.

Current: yamatoya Main Store

Birth: Meiji 9 (1876), current address: 6-7-8, Ginza

We opened the first shirts shop in Japan on Benten Street in Yokohama Seki.

At first, I was doing business with foreign counterparts full of harbors.

It was burned by the Great Yokohama Air Raid and revived in Ginza in 1953.

I've encountered a very affordable wagon sale for the first time.

There is a cloth tag attached to the neck inside Yamatoya's shirt.
