Kiyochika Kobayashi

[CAM] Nov. 17, 2015 20:00

The Nikkei Shimbun "Beauty of Beauty" on November 15 (Sun) is a special feature of "Kiyochika Kobayashi". It says, "Look at the turbulence, above," so it will be featured over two weeks.

According to today's paper, "There are many mysterious pictures in the Tokyo famous map of Kiyochika Kobayashi (1847-1915), who opened a new era in ukiyo-e prints with shadows rich expressions. Kiyochika's gaze into the city of Civilization and enlightenment had a unique personality that was not seen by other painters, such as "Shipping Bridge Daiichi Bank Snow", "Surugacho Snow", "Nihonbashi Night" and "Tokyo Shin-Ohashi Rainfall Map".

Mr. Saiden Stecker introduced quite a lot of pictures of Kiyochika Kobayashi at "LOW CITY, HIGH CITY", so I felt familiar to myself, and today (November 15), "Visit modern architecture" I felt particularly close to the shipping bridge.

I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of pictures will be introduced next week.
