Morinaga's globe neon

[CAM] 20:00 on November 18, 2015

In the introduction of Ozu's work "Taste of Swordfish", he stated that Morinaga's globe neon was projected only one shot, indicating that the place was near Ginza, but this neon tower disappeared in 1983 (1983).

Speaking of Ginza, it was the clock tower of Hattori Clock Store (Wako) or the Morinaga Gestion Neon that always appeared in movies. The clock tower is still working hard, but Morinaga's globe neon has been dismantled and disappeared for more than 30 years, so people under the age of 30 have never seen it.

The site of "Seikosha / Hattori Clock Store" introduces postcards from the Showa 30s, including the Morinaga Advertising Tower and the Hattori Clock Tower clock tower.
