Christmas illuminations on the rooftop [Nihonbashi Takashimaya]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] December 15, 2015 16:00

On the rooftop "Top Island" of Nihonbashi Takashimaya, you can enjoy the fir trees that are now colored with Christmas illuminations.

The Christmas illumination period is until Friday, December 25.

In addition, at the "Green Cafe" on the rooftop, you can also enjoy a limited-time menu inspired by Christmas, a traditional Danish confectionery "Fruborer" & hot wine set.

During the period, green cafe users will receive a "star ornament" to the first 20 people, and you can attach a star ornament to the fir tree with a wish of Christmas.

The Green Café is open from 10 am to 6 pm, and unfortunately it was past business hours when I went there. I'll go early this time.

By the way, did you know that there was an elephant on the roof of Nihonbashi Takashimaya?

It is Takako-chan, an Asian elephant purchased from the Kingdom of Thailand in 1950.

It seems that about 170,000 people came in on the first day of the exhibition (Takako moved to Ueno Zoo four years later).
