At Gallery STAGE-1, a solo exhibition by Yukiyoshi Toko, "20th, 21st Century, Teruhito Exhibition" is being held.
Caricatures of famous people who were active in the 20th and 21st centuries are on display and sold.
It seems that all the portraits on display were written for this solo exhibition.
The work drawn in transparent watercolor seems to capture the character of the person drawn, and you can smile naturally.
From Hillary, Trump to Amore (Nagatomo soccer player) and Nihonium (Kosuke Morita, professor at Kyushu University), portraits of seasonal people are now on display.
Mr. Tokoro was awarded the Grand Prize of the 38th Japan Cartoonist Association Award in 2009 for his political satire.
In addition, he has been drawing political satires in the Mainichi Shimbun for 30 years.
The period is from Monday, June 13 to 18 (Sat).
