At Nara Mahoroba-kan, an antenna shop in Nara Prefecture facing Chuo-dori, Nihonbashi Muromachi 1-chome, a special exhibition entitled "Nara-born famous monk" Ninja "-Life dedicated to rescue-" is being held.
The period is from Thursday, June 9 to 21 (Tue).
Ryokanbo Ninsho was born in Nara during the Kamakura period, based on the religion of Wenju, and continued dedicated activities to save those suffering from illness and hunger.
In particular, the story of going to town with leprosy patients on their backs every day (such as "Gen Torushaku") is famous.
Emperor Go-Daigo gave the Bodhisattva to the ninja who tried to rescue the people.
Next year, 2017 will be the 800th anniversary of the birth of ninja, and the Nara National Museum will gather famous treasures and cultural properties handed down to temples related to ninja in one hall to remember the hot life of Nara-born monks and their feats.
This period is from Saturday, July 23 to September 19 (Mon./holiday).
Also, at the Nara Mahorobakan, a lecture on ninja by Mikitaka Tanaka (the priest of Reiwashiyama Kanjoin Gokurakuji) will be held on June 18 (Saturday).
