Treasure Hunting <Higashibashi 2-chome>

[Tachibana] July 19, 2016 09:00

A treasure hunt will be held in the old town name "Ryogoku" (currently Higashi Nihonbashi 2-chome).

takara2.jpg
The period is from July 24 to August 7, 2016.

It is a commemorative event for the completion of street lights, but since the street lights were completed about four years ago, I don't think the street lights were newly completed this year.

When you get a guide with an answer sheet, you can see six hidden places of treasures in photos. This is a mechanism where you can find the answer by searching for a treasure chest and combining the letters inside.

There is "Ryogoku Post Office" at the place where the hints are provided, but this is a post office that retains the remnants of the old town name of Higashi Nihonbashi 2-chome was "Ryogoku".

This is the northernmost place to provide, and it seems that you will walk from here to Hamacho Park.

It is "Nana Nihonbashi Cored Muromachi Store" on the 3rd floor of Coredo Muromachi in Nihonbashi Muromachi 2-chome.

The meal is delicious here, but the interior is nice, with plenty of wood, Japanese paper, and shoji door Japanese taste, so you can enjoy a calm meal.

nanaoban03.JPG

The view from the window is also a massive building of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank Nihonbashi Sales Department (formerly Mitsui Trust Bank Head Office, Mitsui Main Building), a nationally designated important cultural property that stands across Chuo-dori across the street.

There is also a private room.

Yaesu-Bari Festival Exhibition [Gallery Yaesu]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] July 15, 2016 09:00

parisai01.JPG

The "Yaesu-Bari Festival Exhibition" is currently being held at Gallery Yaesu Tokyo, an art gallery located in the Yaesu Underground Shopping Center.

parisai02.JPG

The "Yaesu-Bari Festival Exhibition" was started in 2008 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of friendship between Japan and France, and this is the ninth year this year.

parisai03.JPG

This is a special exhibition focusing on works related to Paris, regardless of denominations or affiliations.

There are masterpieces that express each Paris.

parisai04.JPG

By the way, the Paris Festival is held in France on July 14th to celebrate the establishment of the French Republic (Féte nationale).

parisai05.JPG

It originated in the raid of Bascheille Prison, which began in the French Revolution on the same day in 1789, and the National Foundation Day (Féte de la Fédération), which was held in 1790 to commemorate the first anniversary of the incident.

parisai06.JPG

"Paris Festival" is said to be the only name in Japan, and this is because René Crail's movie Quatorze Juillet (July 14) was released and hit as the Japanese title "Bari Festival".

The Japanese title was devised by Towa Shoji President Nagamasa Kawakita and others who imported and distributed the film.

Regarding how to read, "Parisai" is common today, but Nagamasa's wife, Kashiko, says, "The feeling of the name was the Paris Festival."

"Bari Festival" and "Paris Festival" are the summer seasonal words of many "Toshikikiki" (as mentioned above, wikipedia)

parisai07.JPG

The picture below shows Claude Monet's painting "Paris, Monttle Guille Street, National Holiday on June 30, 1878".

The period is from Monday, July 11 to 17 (Sun).

Shiko Munakata Exhibition

[Marsha Horiuchi of Edo] July 14, 2016 16:00

On the 6th floor of the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store, "-Tenoi no sewing-Shiko Munakata Exhibition" is held.

Speaking of Shiko Munakata, I remember the ten great disciples and the beautiful Kannon-sama, my black eyes are always large.
Certainly, it is an impressive and memorable painter that the word "Wadaba, become Van Gogh" was spoken on TV.
Looking at the chronological table, it seems that I thought so when I was 18 years old.

The theme of the work is the exploration of the Buddhist world, and a wide range of calligraphy that was displayed at the exhibition.
There was something drawn with a powerful brushwork called "truth". Through the touch of a chisel while always pursuing the truth
I think he was talking about it.

This time, unlike ordinary exhibitions, the scope of coverage is wide, focusing on prints and Japanese-e works in their late 40s and 50s.
There are 70 points. It is on display until July 19.
