The Lion of Nihonbashi

[Slow of Satsuki's Koi] July 20, 2016 12:00

Nihonbashi is the starting point of the well-known Gokaido, and the original road vote is the center of the bridge, right above it is a monument of the road mark, and the road mark square is a copy of the main mark and a southwest and northeast area mark There is.

In the morning, I saw a person taking pictures of this original road sign and point monument in the center of the road, but there was a traffic and it was dangerous.

Nihonbashi is also the starting point of Asia Highway 1, which can be called the modern version of Silk Road.

The monument of the road mark and the starting sign of the Asia Highway can be seen close to the Metropolitan Expressway.

By the way, in Nihonbashi, there are Kirin and lions that represent prosperity, but there are 32 lions (= bridge (8 × 4) * There are various theories), but 28 are found immediately.

The remaining four were here when viewed from the side of Nihonbashi. (I think this is probably the rest of the lion.)

2016 Sony Aquarium

[Sam] July 20, 2016 09:00

On July 15th, the annual "Sony Aquarium" opened at Ginza Sony Building (Ginza 5) under the supervision of the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium.

The event has been held almost every year since the opening of the building in 1966 (Showa 41), and is now one of the summer traditions of Ginza.

Date: July 15-August 28 (Outdoor aquariums can be viewed until 23:00)

The concept of this year, which marks the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Sony Building, is "Education," a synthetic word that represents the fusion of education and entertainment. There are hands-on events where you can learn about Okinawan nature and creatures through aquarium displays and images that reproduce the Okinawa Churaumi ecosystem.

This year, Sony Square, an outdoor event space facing the Sukiyabashi intersection, has a large 14-ton aquarium, recreating the world of creatures living in the beautiful coral reef sea.

I heard that about 500 fish of 23 types, including the grouper's friend "Tamakai" and the 1-meter-long "Fake Goishi Utsubo" will appear sequentially.

Feeding is performed twice a day (11:30-17:30-17:30-30 minutes each time), every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday (13:30-, 14:30-, 15:30-, 16:30-, 18:30-18:30-15 minutes each time) The Okinawa Aquarium explains the Okinawa Aquarium.

You can experience the charm of "Okinawa Churaumi" which is cool to your eyes.

Railway Photo Exhibition [Creation Gallery Nihonbashi Hakozaki]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] July 19, 2016 18:00

tetudos02.JPG

A special exhibition of railway photography, "Special Railway Scenes," is being held at Creation Gallery Nihonbashi Hakozaki.

tetudos03.JPG

Access to "Creation Gallery Nihonbashi Hakozaki" (27-9, 3rd floor, Hakozakicho, Nihonbashi-cho) is easy to understand with photos on the website below.

tetudos04.JPG

The period is from Friday, July 15 to 24 (Sun).

tetudos05.JPG

This photo exhibition is not a photo exhibition by a single photographer, but a photo exhibition by people who put their thoughts on railways into photographs.

tetudos06.JPG

When I asked the president, it was said that even for a special exhibition of railway photography, the content of the work was not biased.

Certainly, the railway photo I imagined = the photo of a steam locomotive with a bombed smoke was only one person, and the rest was a work of a train in the scenery of the four seasons, a work focusing on local lines, a person photograph related to railways, and a work like a seeming avant-garde photo, a really wide range of works were exhibited.

In the work, there was also a wonderful photograph that happened to be reflected in a beautiful natural phenomenon, and I looked at it unintentionally.

tetudos07.JPG

I was impressed that the "special railway scene" was the perfect naming.

tetudos08.JPG

The creation gallery at the venue was a spacious gallery where about 100 works, mainly large-format photographs, were exhibited.

tetudos09.JPG

In addition to displaying photographs, there are also sales of items related to railways and their railways.

You can take photos at the venue.

Nihonbashi Yachobei Nihonbashi Main Store-Taste, Beauty, and Taste of Japanese Confectionery-

[rosemary sea] July 19, 2016 16:00

It is rosemary sea, which covers "gifts and enjoy yourself" as an ad balloon.

DSC01221a.jpg

Today, at the offer of Mr. S Fuji at the workplace, we visited Nihonbashi Yachobei Nihonbashi Main Store, a Japanese confectionery. Thank you very much for your help. In addition to sticking to the original taste of Japanese sweets, its beauty and seasonal atmosphere are also valued. Anyway, please take a look at the product.

DSC01214b.jpg

It is the standard "Tenka Taihei" from annual products. It is a bun made by wrapping a smooth koshi bean paste with a solid dough and baking it. It seems that he repeated subtle adjustments to the amount of sugar. Also, it is said that koshi bean paste is the best to make it beautiful. It seems that red beans are made from Hokkaido like mizuyokan.

DSC01225a.jpg

Here is Mr. S Fuji's food repo.

"The shape of a round and cute sea bream. You're lucky. It's also great for celebrations. My daughter and wife bought me when my child was born. The taste is not too sweet. It's better to eat lightly."

DSC01219a.jpg

"Goldfish scooping" is a seasonal product. Very beautiful and cool sweets.

DSC01218a.jpg
If you enter the tray and decorate it in front of the shop, you will really feel like you can enjoy goldfish scooping. It's also piled up in the shop.

Goldfish made of yokan is contained in lemon-flavored jelly.

It will be sold until early September (Nihonbashi Main Store only).

↓ The best gift is Mizuyokan set, which is the best gift. Since it is a seasonal product, it is until mid-August.

DSC01226a.jpg

Here is Rosmali's own food repo.

"It's not too sweet, but very smooth texture. It's smooth, so if you cool it down, the taste will be enhanced. It's a great feeling of coolness."

On the left, there's a lot.

DSC01217a.jpgThis is Nihonbashi Senbei.

"Nihonbashi" Naming with the title.
It contains cream with moderate sweetness in Western-style rice crackers with a crisp texture.
Nihonbashi Senbei itself is an annual product, but Matcha is scheduled to be sold until early November as a seasonally limited edition.

DSC01216a.jpg

The left is baked castella.

It's butter flavor. This is also very fragrant and slightly salty.
The taste of castella is condensed tightly. It is an annual product, but this "matcha" will also be sold until late August.

DSC01215b.jpg"Summer Festival" As a seasonal limit
Watermelon jelly (upper) and ramune jelly (lower).

The watermelon jelly takes care of the sweetness and flavor of the watermelon itself.
Lamune jelly contains apple-flavored jelly balls that resemble marbles in the taste of lamune.

There are also morning confectionery (Japanese sweets that you want to eat during that day).

Let's meet in Nihonbashi, wearing ECO EDO Nihonbashi 2016 Yukata

[Silver] July 19, 2016 14:00

Japanese lantern, a large goldfish, is swimming in the sky between shops in Nihonbashi Muromachi and Cored Muromachi.

Currently, an event called "ECO EDO Nihonbashi 2016" is being held. When you wear yukata and go to a shop in Nihonbashi, you can also get wonderful benefits.

The 10th Goldfish "Art Aquarium 2016", which is being held at Nihonbashi Mitsui Hall this year, is also good, but this street has the atmosphere of Edo.

I like to see young people walking along well.

"Cored Muromachi" where red goldfish swim, and a young couple wearing yukata walks! It's stylish, has a taste that can't be said, and goes well with you. I was smiling and took a two-shot from the front of them, and in return, I was allowed to take a photo from behind. I hope you are both happy.

2016 Tsukuda Island Bon Odori

[Sam] July 19, 2016 12:00

DSC_0460LS (2). jpg DSC_0475LS (2). jpg

DSC_0484SQLSG.jpg "Tsukuda Island Bon Odori" is held every year for three days from July 13 to 15 around the tower built in the center of "Wataba-dori" square at Tsukuda 1-chome.

It seems that there are various theories about the origin of "Bon Odori on Tsukuda Island", one of the Umimura folk performing arts that has been handed down in the Tsukuda area since ancient times, but Asakusa Gobo (now Tsukiji Honganji), which was located in Yokoyamacho near Asakusabashi during the Edo period, was rebuilt by Tsukiji after the great fire of the Meiryaku era.

In the old days, it is said that he danced around Nihonbashi and Kyobashi, received aspirations, and dedicated it to Tsukiji Honganji, but after the reform of Tenpo, which was forbidden to go around the city, it became an event held only on Tsukuda Island, and it has been handed down to this day I hear that it has been done.

In 1976, it was designated as a Intangible Folk Cultural Property in Tokyo as a valuable folk performing arts in Tokyo that retains the remnants of Edo.

Under the light Japanese lantern handed over from the turret, the dancer goes back and forth around the turret, along with the sorrowful singing song and the monotonous rhythm of the turret.

This year again, the tasteful voice color of Tsukudajima Bon Uta, the leading player in the "Tsukudajima Bon Uta", will resonate.

In the first half, children and in the second half, adults are the center of dance.

On the last day, dancers can enjoy dancing in costumes that elaborate their own tastes.

You can also see foreigners participating in the dance circle.
