Walking around the town and encountering Edo Japanese sweets (Akashicho, Minato, Irifune Edition)

[Daruma] 09:00 on July 28, 2016

Walk through Sumida Kawamukai at Exit 6 of Shin-Tomicho on the Yurakucho Line (2.4m above sea level), and at the entrance of Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge (currently under seismic reinforcement work), which was crossed in 1964, there is a stone monument of Tsukuda Island ferry, and the shelf of the children's park beside it has cute cuwis. On the main street, there is an International Paper Pulp Trading Co., Ltd., which was newly built in 2003 on the site of the Tsukiji Sanin Temple. Let's take a look! The Sendai Tanabata decoration produced by a subsidiary of the company's Sendai at the entrance is on display to the general public until August 19. By the way, this year's Sendai Tanabata is from 8/6 to 8/9.

On the right side of this building, there is a monument that originated in 1905, which was founded, and a monument to Kaigan Jogakuin, which is the Chu of Aoyama Gakuin, is built in front of the entrance diagonally.

From here, just before the St. Luke's Tower (height: 220.63m), the Shiose Sohonke originated from a manju with a history of 660 years on the reservation street....The character of 'Nihon No. 1 Manjusho' (Japan's No. 1 Manjusho) which was raised when opening a manjuya in Kyoto.

According to the company profile of the Shiose Sohonke, it was founded in 1349 in Northern and Southern Courts period, the year when Join Hayashi, who brought potato buns and Nara buns for the first time, came from China. The history of buns on the company's website and the large encyclopedia (Manju)! ! !

In 1659, "Shiose Sohonke" opened a store in Nihonbashi from Kyoto. Established in Akashicho in 1950 (HP). Nowadays, there is no coffee room on the second floor, but it is a restaurant that values the status as well. Honmanju of the seventh generation of the post-war era, and Japanese sweets "Dorayaki" and "Daifuku" which are nice to common people....I had an elegant taste of a famous store.

It goes to the town of Minato and Irifune, which flourished in Minato, Edo during the Edo period. A town where old houses shops and restaurants are still mixed, whether they escaped from the damage of the war because it is a corner of the foreign prison camp. It seems to be a district where development is delayed even in Chuo-ku. There are still many printing and related businesses, and there is the Mizuno Printing Museum at Irifune 2-chome. I remember that this area was in a worm-eating state after the rise and collapse during the bubble period. At Minato 2-chome, redevelopment of the construction of a high-rise complex is progressing here. The nearby "Tenbosu Inari Shrine" is under construction for the 1180th anniversary of the shrine, and the torii gate is closed (the worship is the HP as usual).

By the way, what is the middle of Chuo-ku? It's near Irifune 3-chome...We verified it in "Chuo-ku first story map".

The Japanese confectionery shops are Irifune 3-chome "Sanyo" near Exit 7 of Shin-Tomicho, the birthplace of the shoe industry, and Irifune Aoyagi, 1-chome immediately from Hatchobori Station.

"Sanyo" ・・ ・ Since its establishment in 1933, we have continued to preserve the original taste of Japanese sweets without being misled by fashion....(HP)。 "Mizu Manju" is wrapped in Kumasa, and you can enjoy a thick skin, elegant grain bean paste and aroma. I would also like to have a seasonal Japanese sweets!

"Irifune Aoyagi": Opened at its current location (originally Minami Hatchobori) in October 1891. The Meiji period pendulum clock ticks the long-established time in the store. "Kikumonaka" inherited from the first generation is crispy thin skin and high-quality bean paste...I recommend it! The scent of cherry skin "Domyoji"! I felt Japanese sweets with polite skill.

That's all.
