[Dimini ☆ Cricket] September 14, 2016 09:00

At Gallery Ginza, Noh mask exhibition by Noh mask teacher Yoshiharu Nakano is being held.

Mr. Nakano, who lives in Kyoto, regularly holds Noh masks at this gallery, and this is the eighth time it has been held.

This is my second interview.

It is said that Noh masks are "striking" without saying "carving", but that is because Noh masks are driven into the face.

The Noh masks displayed at the venue have a realistic expression that can not seem to be made of wood when viewed up close, and Kido Okamoto's `` Shuzenji Monogatari '' I remembered the story of

At the venue, various Noh masks, including Hanwaka, Okina, and small masks, were exhibited.

In the corner of the venue, there are also diplomas and newspaper articles that show Mr. Nakano's success and evaluation overseas.

Noh masks are usually born from cypress (hinoki), but this time, works using cedar wood of 800 years old () are also exhibited. This is a work that uses "Yoritomo Sugi", which is said to be hand-planted by Minamoto no Yoritomo at Chimanji Temple in Shimada City, Shizuoka Prefecture.

According to Nakano, cedar wood is different from cypress wood, and it is hard and hard to hit. However, the Noh mask of the exhibited "Yoritomo Sugi" has a very beautiful grain.

The event is open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The last day is until 4 p.m.
