The Sony Building, which forms a corner of the Sukiyabashi intersection where Ginza 5-chome, Harumi-dori St. and Sotobori-dori St. intersect, will be closed once on March 31, next year.
Currently, at this Sony Building, the "It's a Sony Exhibition" is being held to introduce the 50-year history of Sony Building and successive Sony products.
Part-1 will be held from November 12 to February 12 next year, and Part-2 will be held from February 17 to March 31.
In Part-1 currently being held, successive Sony products, Japan's first transistor radio (1955), the first WALKMAN, and the entertainment robot "AIBO" are on display.
In Part-2, installations will be exhibited on the theme of "Future Park" by artists of various genres.
It seems that a special finale event will be scheduled on the last day.
When I actually look at the exhibits, various memories such as "Oh, this is the WALKMAN I used", "Open Reel tape recorder that my father bought" and "Component stereo that I bought for the first time by myself" are revived.
In my life, I realized that there were so many Sony products around me.
Among the many exhibits, the most surprising thing was this electric rice cooker (1945).
