DSC03326RS'GG.jpg From December 1st to 25th, at the Grand Roof at Yaesu Exit of JR Tokyo Station, a magnificent light installation "Tokyo Station Grand Roof Light on Train-" is being held, woven by video and lighting. (17:00~23:00)

The Grand Roof is a landmark of Tokyo Station that was completed in 2013 as a "holl of light" that connects north and south towers, consisting of large roofs, pedestrian decks, commercial facilities, etc.

This time, the visual design studio "WOW" is in charge of creative direction, and with a roof with a total length of more than 200 meters, the new video and lighting equipment are used to seamlessly connect the production of the three areas and enjoy it from anywhere in the venue.

"Light created from the various thoughts and energy of all the people who depart, pass, arrive, and come and go here. The trains arriving and departing here run into the night sky of Tokyo with a lot of light.'

In the northern area (video production) area, we develop a video production in which a light train departs from the platform to the night sky with shadow pictures as a motif.

In the central (interaction) area, the silhouette of visitors is projected onto the roof in real time. When the silhouette touches the light spilled from the train, it changes into a "flower of light".

In the southern area (lighting production) area, the "flower of light" that has been carried drifts and diffuses, creating lighting that is linked to the world of video.

The Grand Roof seen through Sotobori-dori St. emerges in blue-purple, and you can see fantastic works from the Yaesu area.
