At the gallery on the 7th floor of the new building of the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store, "Okada Art Museum Collection-Japonism West and Japan-World Exhibition of Glass Crafts and Domes" is being held.
This exhibition focuses on 'Japonism' when the glass works of Emir Galle and the Dome Brothers, which are treasured by the Okada Museum of Art in Hakone, are open to the public for the first time, and the museum is proud of art Nouveau crafts and the vast collection of Japanese art. "
When I actually see the works of Gare and the Dome brothers up close, I realize that the influence of Japonisme was so amazing.
There is no sense of discomfort even though Kiitsu Suzuki's folding screen, Katsushika Hokusai, Jakuchu Ito's kakejiku, Korin Makie, and Komari are on display next to the works of Galle and Dome Brothers.
Personally, I was impressed by the fineness of insects and snails placed on the surface of glass works.
In addition, the lighting at the venue also made the wonderfulness of the work even more prominent, and in particular, in the corner of the lamp, I was healed by the light emitted from the work.
It's an exhibition that I want to see slowly and slowly.
The event will be held until January 23 (Monday).
