Parent-child bird watching party was held in Tsukuda.

[Usako of Tsukuda] February 27, 2017 18:00

On February 26, the second parent-child bird watching party was held in Tsukuda today.

Sumida River Terrace in Ishikawajima Park → Kamejima sluice gate and Minami Takahashi → Tsukuda Park → This is a course around Tsukuda Kobashi.

Those who live in the Tsukuda and Tsukishima areas and are active as Chuo-ku cultural property supporters, and nature conservation observers working in Tsukuda gave guidance.

Usako Tsukuda, who is announcing the charm of Chuo-ku, where wild birds live on this correspondent blog, also became fascinated by wild birds a year ago by this observation party.

Here near Aioi Bridge, Oban, mallard, Indian spot-billed duck, tufted duck and Eurasian wigeon were observed.

In the vicinity of the Paris Square, we could observe northern pintail, Uriguine, Segurokamome, Kukusekirei, common sandpiper, dusky thrush, brown-eared bulbul, and very rare winter bird Tahibari.

Near Tsukuda Park, I saw a blue bird Iso brown-eared bulbul and a rare butterbur that fly over the sky.

The children and parents who participated were surprised that there were many wild birds in this area where they live.

Observation sessions that convey the charm of nature in Chuo-ku with the cooperation of local people are really valuable hands-on events.

In order to protect wild birds, the children learned not to kick the ball in the grass of the park, which is the home of wild birds.

And, as the planting of Chuo-ku increases the number of fruit trees and shrubs that feed wild birds, the Usako will become a "Beautiful central city of Tokyo that combines cities and nature" that can be proud of the world even more. I thought strongly.
