However, in fact, many overseas fruits are also selected and handled.

This time, I would like to spotlight the overseas fruits of Senbikiya Sohonten.

Muscat of Italian. From New Zealand.

The beautiful green grains form a voluminous bunch, and when ripe, it has an elegant muscat scent. Please enjoy elegant sweetness and elegant taste.

"At this time, there is no such size of domestic grapes, but it is before, but those who produce Muscat in Okayama Prefecture actually go to New Zealand to grow and grow. It is called this because there is a hollow similar to a navel at the top of the fruit. Orange has a good balance of sweetness and acidity.

Right, grapefruit ruby. Produced in Florida, United States.

It is said to be a hybrid of orange and zabon from Barbados Shimabara in the West Ind Islands. The reddish pericarp and clear red pulp ruby are juicy, sweet and easy-to-eat grapefruit.

Daijiro Oshima, the third generation of Meiji 10 (1877), was a person who noticed overseas fruits that were not yet available in Japan.

At that time, foreign ships often called in Yokohama and other places to supply food.

So, Daijiro went to the harbor and focused on the fruits in the ingredients that had been used as seafarers' food, and asked the seafarers, "Would you like to sell fruits?" Did.

"Senbikiya is bought at a good price," and some people came to the shop to sell it.

Since then, we have gradually increased the number of products handled, and imported goods can be displayed in stores.

The above is the book of Fusetsu Nakamura (1866 [1866]-1943 [1943], which is listed at the back of Nihonbashi Main Store. As stated in the book, it is said that he had a friendship with the third generation, Daijiro.

He is also known as an illustration artist for Soseki Natsume's "I am a cat."
