[Shiba Inu] March 23, 2017 12:00

Nihonbashi Library is located in Nihonbashi Ningyocho.

This is the place where Saigo Takamori lived for about two years in the Meiji period. Currently Nihonbashi Elementary School, a pool that can be used by the general public underground, a municipal library on the upper floor, and a Bon Dance Festival is held in the schoolyard in summer!...It is also a popular spot in the neighborhood.

Nihonbashi Library, which is on the upper floor, has been undergoing renewal work for a long time since last year, but on March 1, the 7th floor finally opens! It was very beautiful, spacious, and easy to use.

IMG_1815.JPGThe passage is wide. Wheelchairs, strollers, those who have a lot of luggage and cane cane at ease.

There are plenty of seats available. I think I can concentrate on myself. The chair was comfortable to sit down!

IMG_1818.JPGThere is also such a cute seat.

The local reference room I was looking forward to is also very fulfilling!

IMG_1819.JPGIn the room, not only materials but also dedicated reading seats (the desk is wide!) That's enough.

The Nihonbashi Library has a lot of local materials. Even the catalogs of small exhibitions and personal record books, "I don't know....It is one of the libraries that have a high probability of finding materials that you gave up. I think there are elements that can be enjoyed by local people, sightseeing, and students.

The magazine corner is also full. There were a lot of women's magazines.

I think it's wonderful that there are places to sit here and there.

The toilet was of course barrier-free, and it was spacious and very beautiful. It's an important thing....!If the library toilets are old, narrow and dirty, fear doubles....

The 6th floor, which is still under construction, will be a children's corner and a reading room. Complete opening is 4/1 (Sat)! I'm looking forward to it.

Opposite the library, there is also a Western confectionery shop "Surky", which is famous for cream puffs that are so popular that they line up. In addition, there are fashionable flower shops, delicious shops, good luck and Koami Shrine, so it is a very fun zone. On April 8th, there is also a flower festival at Daikanonji Temple.

Please come to Ningyocho this spring, when the Nihonbashi Library will be renewed. It's perfect for a resting place with children.
