Tokyo Infiorata Week in Kyobashi

[Mill] April 10, 2017 14:00

Infiorata, which draws beautiful pictures on the ground using colorful petals.

In Chuo-ku, it is held every year at Triton Square in Harumi, so many people may know it.

The other day, I encountered a place being held in Kyobashi.

This is the square in front of Tokyo Square Garden.

"Hundred Famous Edo Views" drawn by Hiroshige Utagawa, who lived in Kyobashi.

The figure of "Kyobashi Takegashi" in it was drawn wonderfully.

The bamboo part uses carnation stems, and even the texture and neat arrangement are realistically expressed.

The petals spilled from the cherry blossoms in full bloom at Tokyo Square Garden are cute Aya.

Unfortunately, the weather was amazing, but many people stopped and watched it at a glance.

And in the square in front of Kyobashi Edgran, there is a picture of a mikoshi and a town fire extinguisher.

A town fire extinguisher made by Echizen Ooka to protect the town of Edo from fire.

The current area in Kyobashi is said to have been the place where the second group "Segumi" was placed.

Matoi is a symbol of the honor of the town fire extinguisher.

The layered Komagata's coat of "Segumi" was clearly expressed with white petals.

It is a pattern that feels the essence and pride of Edo.

This Infiorata is the work of "Tokyo Infiorata Week", which will be held for the first time this year.

It seems that it is an event to create a welcome carpet colored with petals all over Tokyo with the hands of citizens in order to entertain visitors from Japan and abroad.

Various places in Tokyo are the venue.

Tokyo Infiorata Week

The exhibition at Kyobashi is from April 8th to 12th.

Please take a look at the beautiful art of petals.
