At the Megumi Ogita Gallery on the first basement floor of the Ginza Otsuka Building, Ginza 2-chome, Satoru Koizumi's "The House of Works-Kemono no Sumika" is being held.
The period is from Friday, July 14 to 29 (Sat).
The opening hours are from 11:00 to 19:00 from Tuesday to Saturday.
The museum will be closed on Sundays, Mondays and holidays.
This is the fourth solo exhibition by Satoru Koizumi at the Megumi Ogita Gallery, commemorating the publication of his first collection of works, "The House of Works-Kemono no Sumika" by Mr. Koizumi.
Mr. Koizumi is currently expanding his activities to the world, with Okinawa as a base for production. He is one of the young sculptors who are expected to be more active in the future.
It seems that all the wood carving works are camphor tree.
The works on display at the venue are based on animals and humans, all of which have a fresh figure wearing an animal skin like a costume.
At the same time as "Cuteness", his expression felt loneliness and anxiety, and it seemed to give the work a message.
I felt something like a lingering sound that was hard to leave before the work.
The outside is under the scorching sun and the gallery on the first basement floor is cool and quiet, and you can experience it as if you were stuck in a different space.
In addition, we received your consent for photography and coverage in the gallery. Thank you very much
