The 28th Chuo-ku Oedo Festival Bon Dance Festival, which celebrates the 70th anniversary of the enforcement of the central ward system, was held grandly at Hamacho Park on August 25 and 26. This festival is famous as an event unique to Chuo-ku. The sight of the children walking around amazake Yokocho, carrying the portable shrine, which was produced at a municipal elementary school in Ningyocho on the 25th. This year, I interviewed Hisamatsu Elementary School.
History - Hisamatsu Elementary School was founded in 1873 (7-2, Nihonbashi Hisamatsucho, Chuo-ku) as No. 2 Elementary School No. 1 Junior High School District No. 1 with a huge donation from feudal lord Iyomatsuyama, Count Rubber Hisamatsu. The 145th anniversary of the opening of the school in 2017, and the Hisamatsu Kindergarten (opened in 1941) on the same site will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the opening of the park, and the ceremony will be held on October 21. It's a very historic elementary school. 1st school-Sakamoto Elementary School, 2nd school-Hisamatsu Elementary School, 4th school-Tokiwa Elementary School, 6th school-Arima Elementary School are elementary schools in Chuo-ku, which were established in the year of the 1873 academic system. It is true that four out of the 16 elementary schools have a history of 145 years, but it can be said that "Chuo-ku of Education".
Region-It is a land of Nihonbashi, which has a history and tradition, and has been a full-fledged business mainly dealing with kimono and accessories related to it. In addition, it is an area that retains the Edo culture of "Iki-Inase" represented by Hamacho and Yanagibashi. Based on the idea of "business with customers", good manners and behavior are emphasized.
On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the founding, Emperor Showa went to Her Majesty the Empress. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Crown Prince (now the Emperor of Japan) visit the Imperial Highness Princess. The 110th anniversary ceremony of the opening of the school was held by Imperial Highness Prince Tokuhito Hiromiya. Famous graduates - poet Michizo Tachihara (born July 30, 1914 (Michizo Tachihara) - died March 29, 1939 (Showa 14)). A poet in the early Showa era, at the age of 13, he compiled a collection of poems "Katsushika Shu" and "Ryokuni Kanginshu" and a collection of poems "Crystal Sure" and entered the first high science class astronomy from Tokyo Prefectural Third Junior High School (currently Tokyo Metropolitan Ryogoku High School). "Celebration portable shrine" production-One portable shrine and two garments (kindergarten and elementary school) were produced by nearly 30 children from 3.4 years. Parents also helped together and carefully made the final finish with their hearts. A wonderful "Celebration portable shrine" with a simple design has been completed. The commemorative photo shoot is a good face for the children, mainly in portable shrine.
