red spider lily in Ginza

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] September 17, 2017 16:00

Flowers I thought I didn't see much in Ginza were blooming in unexpected places.

red spider lily, a flower that symbolizes autumn.

Also known as lycolis, Cluster Amaryllis (Manjushage, or Manjushaka), it is a perennial bulbous plant.

In mid-September, only the flower stem grows first and blooms, and after the flower is over, thin leaves come out.

I was a little surprised when I found it because there was an image of growing naturally on the rivers and graveyards of Tabata.

The place is on the north side of Tsukiji River Shukubashi Park, next to the Ginza side at the entrance to Ginza on the Metropolitan Expressway Toshin Beltway.

Autumn will deepen from now on.
