The Otemachi 2-chome area is currently under redevelopment.
A new bridge will be built in this area that crosses Chiyoda-ku and Chuo-ku across the Nihonbashi River! Its name is "Ryukan Sakura Bridge". It is scheduled to open next spring. It's just about the cherry blossoms.

I looked up at Ryukan Sakura Bridge from Nihonbashi River.
Crossing the bridge along with JR, it is a nice view for railway fans.
On the southern road from the current Ryukanbashi intersection to Higashi-Kamida 1 intersection, just at the edge of Chuo-ku and Chiyoda-ku, there was once a moat called Ryukangawa. This is an artificial waterway that has been reclaimed and excavated several times from Edo to post-war period, and has been completely reclaimed as of now in Heisei. However, traces and features that were important excavations remain here and there, and the current intersection name also uses the name of the bridge over the Ryukan River.
With such a history, the word "Ryukan" will be included in the name of this new bridge.
The location is between Tokyo Station and Kanda Station, near Shin-Tokiwa Bridge. This redevelopment will create a skyscraper with commercial facilities and offices....More than anything, I'm looking forward to creating a promenade and promenade where you can enjoy cherry blossoms on the banks of the Nihonbashi River. It is expected that the flow of people will change due to the gradual connection between Otemachi and Nihonbashi.
Next spring, I hope you can enjoy a walk around Nihonbashi, cherry blossom viewing on the evening of spring here.
