Cedar balls with a blush

During this season, hanging cedar balls were hung at the eaves of the sake brewery.

I see it being replaced with a new one.

It's a tradition that tells young sake's beginning of squeezing.

 Its origin is at a shrine in Nara, which celebrates the god of sake during the Edo period.

We gathered at "Sakaei-ko", a sake festival held every winter.

Mrs. Toji and others brought back the cedar of the shrine as a talisman.
