Enjoy rakugo at Yabu Izu Sohonten

[The Rabbit of Tsukuda] January 23, 2018 09:00

After enjoying walking around the city of Ginza with eight elementary school alumni on Saturday, January 20, a boy who is familiar with rakugo (alumni association for the first time in 40 years, a group of alumni living in Kanto will forever be boys and girls) ), I went to Yabu Izu Sohonten, which is close to Showa-dori in Nihonbashi. For me, it's like a first-year rakugo. What kind of story can you listen to?

Expectations are even more exciting for the massive restaurant-like gate that suddenly appeared in the office district of Nihonbashi.

We were greeted by a little-talked landlady, and we went to the parlor on the third floor.

I heard the rakugo of Harufutei Ichiza and Asanosuke. The story of the common people and lords of Edo living humorously and robustly are depicted by the two. Especially in Koganemochi, Imagawa Bridge, Honishi-cho, Nihonbashi, Kyobashi, Owaricho, Izumo-cho, Shimbashi, and the main street names of Edo, which cannot be removed from the city guide of Chuo-ku, came out one after another. .

After two hours passed quickly, Ichiza and Asanosuke went around the seats while having soba, laughing and answering any questions.

When I talked with them, it was a time when I wanted to come and support me again.

According to the origins of the store, Yabu Izu Sohonten was a soba shop that flourished in Kyobashi under the name of "Izu Hon" in the Tenpo era (1830-1843) in Edo. In the Meiji era, it became "Yabu Izu" encompassing the long-established store "Yabu" and Japanese shop curtain, and it became a direct branch of "Yabu" (currently only Hamacho, Asakusa Namiki, Takanawa and these four stores). Even though I don't know much about rakugo, the fifth generation teacher Kosan Yanagiya, who saw her face in a commercial when she was young, had a single rakugo party at a shop in Kyobashi, and even now she moved to Nihonbashi. It seems that grandson Hana Midori and young rakugo artists are holding rakugo events.

The shops were kindly dealing with each other, and the number of information shops that could not be removed in Nihonbashi has increased. By all means, please go out.

In the words of the landlady, "Please enjoy soba and rakugo from Edo together."
