In spring, Hamarikyu is full of vitality now.

[Silver] March 8, 2018 16:00

Hamarikyu is at its peak in spring.

Today, we remembered the Edo period from the landing of the water bus to the place where the general rose, and strolled around Umebayashi, where it is now at its peak.

There was a variety called "as you wish" with red and white flowers blooming on one plum tree. In addition, we watched a variety of green plums from the forehead of the white flower called "Ryokugaku" to the stems and branches.

In the field of canola flower, the wife of a Western couple dressed up, strolled between canola flower and saw a smiling sight of her husband taking pictures.

At Hanakien, Sanshuyu, where the yellow flowers shine, and the vivid red flowers of Ryukyu Kanhizakura, signaled the coming of spring.

I could see a newly built teahouse on the opposite side of the Tsubame teahouse.

This is the restoration work of "Hawk's Ochiya" from the Edo period.

Looking at the legendary bridge, Shinsenza Kamoba, and the pine for 300 years, along with the surrounding customers, this pine has gained a lot of energy, and the vitality for tomorrow has become full. Everyone, please go out and bathe in warm sunlight to get vitality.

"Weightlifting hall" may disappear!

[May rain George] March 8, 2018 14:00

The so-called "Weightlifting Hall Building" (Abe Building), which was previously introduced in "Deep Chuo-ku" Kaikan Edition "", seems to be finally dismantled or renovated.

Weight Hall 2.jpg

History of the weight hall

The National Stadium, which began in 2014 with a 56-year history. There was also a training ground for weightlifting World Cup medalists and all-Japan players. However, with the end of the National Stadium, the weightlifting practice area has also moved. In March 2014, an alternative weightlifting practice facility opened on the second floor of this building as Nihonbashi Weightlift Club. The sleeve sign called "Weightlifting Hall" seems to have been attached at that time.

At the stage of last year (2017), it was confirmed that Nihonbashi Weight Club had already withdrawn from this building, and the name of Nihonbashi Weight Club at the entrance of the building was erased. Only the sleeve sign of "Weightlifting Hall" remained lonely. Therefore, due to the demolition and renovation of the building this time, the signboard will not be seen only a few more.

And the fact that the lunch shop on the first floor of the building had been working hard at this place for 21 years is something deeply moved in another sense. Thank you very much.

Tokyo Tower Diamond Vere "Dream Pink" Lighting

[Sam] March 8, 2018 12:00

P3030443'ELS'.jpgDSC01991RS'G.jpg The special lighting "Diamond Ver" every weekend where you can change the design every season and enjoy seasonal productions.

On March 1st (Saturday), the cherry-colored diamond veil "Dream Pink", which tells the spring, was lit.

From the Sumida River Terrace in Kachidoki, you can see the shining pink over Tsukiji Ohashi.

Tokyo Tower celebrates its 60th anniversary in December this year. The 250-meter-high special observation deck, which had been undergoing major renovation since October 2016, reopened on March 3 as a "top deck" with advance reservation system and tour-style "top deck tour" started.

"Geometric mirrors" and "LED lighting" inspired by "mirrors that reflect the future of Tokyo" create a space where you can experience the sense of the near future.

2018 Okamezakura Flowering

[Sam] March 8, 2018 12:00

DSC01998ELS'.jpgP3040462RS'G.jpg Okamezakura of Nihonbashi Honmachi "Ajisai-dori St." is blooming.

Okamezakura is said to have been created by a British cherry researcher by crossing Mamezakura and Kanhizakura, and the flowers are dark, especially with dark red calyx, due to the characteristics of Kanhizakura, and are conspicuous downward. It blooms and has a taste.

It seems that the name may have been named as synonymous with Japanese beauty.

It is said that the tree height is about 3m and does not grow too large, and the branches do not spread sideways, so it is suitable for planting small land.

A row of cherry blossom trees continues to the ward border with Chiyoda-ku.

I've been challenging the Senshafuda stamp rally!

[Hikoharu Co., Ltd.] March 8, 2018 09:00

The other day, I participated in an exchange meeting of the correspondent of the Chuo-ku Tourism Association and took a stamp ledger.

I got it, so I tried the Senshafuda stamp rally.

I went around Ningyocho, Ginza, Tsukiji, Tsukishima, Nihonbashi, and Kyobashi in that order.

This is the ledger that the stamp pressed all.

[Ningyocho]

Ningyocho started from Daikanonji Temple.

IMG_1150.JPGIMG_1142.JPG

The alley next to Daikanonji Temple was called Geisha Shindo. When it was a flower district

It conveys the remnants of Yoshicho now. The right hand is "Yoshiume" which is famous for its green onion pot.

[Ginza]

In front of G Info is Sukiyabashi Park.

IMG_1155.JPGIMG_1151.JPG

Behind it is Yasuaki Elementary School, which has just become a hot topic about uniform issues.

Yes, there is. The object in the foreground is Taro Okamoto's "Young Clock Tower".

[Tsukiji]

IMG_1160.JPGIMG_1158.JPG

Take a stopover and pachiri at Tsukiji Honganji!

Tsukiji Outer Market was crowded even though it was a weekday.

[Tsukishima]

The Tsukishima Monja Promotion Association Cooperative is located at the entrance of Tsukishima Nishinaka-dori.

This is Nishinakadori Regional Safety Center. It was a sergeant branch of the Taisho era.

The signboard architecture is beautiful!

[Nihonbashi]

It is a lion statue representing guardian and a kirin statue representing prosperity.

IMG_1187.JPGIMG_0590.JPG

The plate of the promised "Japan Road Mark" is also punchy!

[Kyobashi]

I entered "Kyobashi Edgran" for the first time. It's really a landmark of Kyobashi

It will be.

IMG_1178.JPGIMG_1185.JPG

In March, days when the temperature difference is severe continued, but spring is coming soon.

Yes. If you are not a hay fever, please challenge the Senshafuda stamp rally.

Please take a look. (By the way, I'm the extreme hay fever. After returning home today

The runny nose was loose, and the eyes became the rabbit's eyes.)

Use of the Hibiya Line will be convenient.

[Shitamachi Tom] March 7, 2018 12:00

Hibiya Line 13000 Series _R.jpgThere are a number of railway lines running in Chuo-ku, but the "Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line" has recently attracted attention.
This is because there are some of the best tourist attractions in Chuo-ku, such as "Ginza", "Tsukiji", and "Ningyocho", along this line, mutual direct operation with the Tobu Sky Tree Line, and connected to the Tokyu Toyoko Line in Nakameguro. It is also very useful for regional exchange with eastern Saitama and eastern Kanagawa prefectures.

Hibiya Line_Tobu 70000 Series_R.jpgFrom this fiscal year, new vehicles such as Tokyo Metro 13000 and Tobu 70,000 have begun to be introduced on this route, and are gradually increasing. The conventional vehicle was changed from 8-cars of 18m cars to 7-cars of 20m cars. It's very comfortable to ride, so if you haven't ride it yet, please try it. Both vehicles are manufactured with almost the same specifications (manufactured Kinki vehicles). It's interesting to compare the rides.

Expansion of subway transit jpgHowever, what was a bit inconvenient to say was the transfer to the Yurakucho Line and Hanzomon Line. There was no connecting station to these lines before, for example, "Tsukiji Station" and "Shintomicho Station" were treated as different stations even though they were nearby, so once you leave the ticket gate, the first fare was applied again . Some people would have gone out of the way.

Route map 2.jpgHowever, from March 17, "Tsukiji-Shintomi-cho" and "Ningyo-cho-Suitengu-mae" will be newly set at the transfer station (ground transfer). With this, once you leave the ticket gate, the fare will be counted if you transfer within 30 minutes. Commuter passes can also be issued through. This is useful.

Ningyocho Station on the Toei Asakusa Line will also be treated as a transfer station with Sutengumae Station on the Hanzomon Line. If you consider these things, you will be able to choose a variety of transfer methods. We hope that this will take advantage of the Hibiya Line, and that exchanges in Chuo-ku and other regions will be more activated by using the route well.
