2018 Cherry Blossom Flowering

DSC01936ELS'.jpgDSC01948RS'G.jpg The early blooming "Okanzakura" on the Sumida River Terrace on the south side of Eitai Bridge Westfill blooms.

Okanzakura is said to be a hybrid of Kanhizakura and oshima cherry. The tree height is about 5 to 10 meters, the canopy is wide, the light red petals are large circular, and there are many fine cuts at the tip.

It is one of the representative cherry blossoms in early spring, also known as "Angyo Kanzakura", because it spread throughout the country from the logs in Angyo in Kawaguchi City, Saitama Prefecture.

Shinkawa Park (Shinkawa 2) Along with "Kawazu Sakura" on the northeast side of Sumida River Terrace Chuo-ohashi Bridge, you can feel the early spring.
