Brush tree flowering [Hamacho Park]

There is Hamacho Park in Chuo Ward at 2-chome Nihonbashihamacho.

It is the largest park in Chuo-ku and faces the banks of the Sumida River.

In addition to the square, there are the Chuo Ward Sports Center and Kiyomasa Koji Temple, which enshrines Kato Kiyomasa.

When I visited, many nursery school children were playing in the square.

A brush tree is blooming near Kiyomasa Koji Temple, a corner of Hamacho Park.

Brush trees, also known as Carystemon, Kinpoge (Kin Takaragi), and Hana Maki (Hanamaki).

The Brush tree is an evergreen Odaka tree of the family Brushaceae.

It is native to Australia and blooms around May and June.

The characteristic is the shape of a flower, just like a brush for washing a bottle.

In English, it is called a bottle brush.
