The Sanno enshrined deity Festival goes to Ginza

[Silver] June 10, 2018 18:00

On the street of Ginza Corridor Street near Yasuaki Elementary School in Ginza, I encountered a line of the Shinko Festival of the Sanno Festival.

The Sanno Festival is one of the three major festivals in Japan.

And the "Shinko Festival" is the largest celebration of the Sanno Festival, which is held every two years during the main festival.

Two Gohorais, one Miya portable shrine, and three floats with the Spirit (God) will travel around the shrine parishioner area, which is called "the largest in Tokyo."

There was also a flower float that was beautifully decorated.

The procession stretches for 300 meters.

This time, the number of photos has been reduced due to space limitations.

The quiet procession headed for the Imperial Hotel in front of a lot of spectators.

I wished that the traditional Sanno Festival will last forever.
