Every year for three days from July 13 to 15, a summer tradition "Tsukuda Island Bon Odori" is held around the tower built in the center of the road leading from the site of Tsukuda 1-chome ferry (Tsukuda no ferry) to Tsukuda Kobashi. "
On the first day of the 13th, prior to the adult section, children in cute yukata begin dancing with cheerful shouts under the lead of their predecessors at around 18:00, but the Japanese lantern around the turret and other settings are slightly different from usual.
The organizer this time is the Tsukudajima Bon Dance Association (Bon Odori Association), which protects history and tradition, newly established by volunteers from local residents.
The conflict over the sponsorship rights with the Tsukudajima Bon Preservation Society (Preservation Society), which has been involved in the operation for many years, has become apparent. I hear that it will be held separately at the same location.
The number of participants is only a small number of participants, and it is hoped that the situation will be resolved as soon as possible from the viewpoint of reviving the bustle and healthy succession of good old traditional culture.
