Daimon-dori is a 1.2km street from Nihonbashi Kodenmacho 18 to Nihonbashi Ningyocho 2-14. This nickname came in 1988.
On the sidewalk of Daimon Street, there were many pictures that tell the history of this town.

♪ Welcome to the sidewalk museum!

This is a picture of the sidewalk found in Nihonbashi Horidome-cho.
The origin of the town name "Horidome-cho" is that, as the name implies, the digging stopped here.

This is a picture on the sidewalk of Nihonbashitomizawacho.
People like peddlers carry a lot of kimonos on their backs. In fact, it seems that this merchant is "fresh selling".

Tomizawa-machi and Tachibana-cho were towns with many used clothing stores.
On a clear day, he laid straw mats (rather) outside the store and sold used clothes side by side.

By the way, do you know the origin of the town name of Tomizawa town?
It seems that he came from Jinnai Tobisawa, which was set up in this area during Keicho.
Tobizawa Jinnai was ordered to crack down on thieves in Edo. On the other hand, it was also the original tightening of the used clothing store.
It seems that stolen goods were sometimes brought into used clothing stores, and it was cracking down on thieves there.
It is said that Tobi Sawacho became later and became Tomizawa-cho.

It's wonderful that Tomizawa has been continuing for more than 60 years as a town council as many towns have been split and integrated after the war.

Well, I'm in Temmacho.
You have had many pedestrians over the years. Is this a picture of the role of a horse?
The role of horse riding is to pass on horses to official travelers. Speaking of the role of the horse on the way, which was set up in Otemmacho, it is Magome Kageyu.

Oh? After passing Kodemmacho, the pavement changed.
Apparently, I have entered Chiyoda-ku.
Then, what jumped into my eyes was a signpost with "Daimon Street". Crossing Chuo-ku, the same street name continued!

1.It's a combination of colors like a triple cat. I think it's still new.
2.It's a familiar color in Chuo-ku.
3.It's a rare type. A square is made of green blocks, and both sides are accented with red squares.

The sidewalk with pictures that I met again this time.
The sidewalk that tells the characteristics and history of the area is charming and very interesting.
From now on, I would like to walk a lot on the wonderful sidewalk of Chuo-ku.
