Approximately one month before the Sumiyoshi-jinja Shirine Main Festival, on July 1, a part (Kamimachi), two parts (Shimomachi), and three parts (Azumacho) were dug out and assembled from the mud of Funairi moat under Tsukuda Kobashi. A total of six pillars and a pedestal holding of the pedestal, August 3 by Sumiyoshi. A cheer comes up.
It is said to be yorishiro, which welcomes divine spirit with a round bundling Sakaki leaf on a thinly cut cypress skin, and a white cloth dyed with Sumiyoshi-jinja Shirine (Daimyojin Oga).
In the late Edo period, during the festival of Kansei 10 (1798), the Edo Shogunate granted construction and inherited the tradition that was said to have been displayed, and is a landmark of the festival.
After a month of preparation, the main festival finally started. As the banner shining in the sunset flutters gently, even though the scenery behind it changes, the remains of the 100 famous Edo scenic views of Hiroshige Utagawa in the Edo period, "Tsukuda Shima Sumiyoshino Festival".
It's a great place to feel the history again.
