The second installment of Ginza Mikawaya's series, which holds a project on the theme of "Learning Edo", is the "Taste of Edo that Onihei said to be Umai".

This is a book of the same name that collects the dishes that appear in the `` Onihei Criminal Book '' and reproduces the seasonal dishes by the era novelist Aiko Kitahara and an essay by Go Osaka, the leading Edo cuisine expert, Hiroshi Fukuda. It is an exhibition based on Shotaro Ikenami's novel is known for its delicious scenes in which the characters eat and gives a vivid impression along with the story, but Edo dishes that have been popular with the common people during the Edo period, such as "One ton", "Gun Chicken Hot Pot" and "Tempura Soba", make us feel "something nostalgic memories". I don't think it's only me to feel the taste of Edo that rises from each scene of the `` Onihei Crime Book '', such as Onihei, who surrounds the military pot with Gotetsu, secret reconnaissances, Chugo Kimura, who sits on a single ladle.

This time, photos and recipes of typical spring, summer, autumn and winter dishes will be exhibited from the book, and the recipes will be copied and you can freely enjoy it. I decided to try "Konjac and fried oil white" tonight. I'm looking forward to it.

There will also be a lecture by Hiroshi Fukuda on the 23rd and 25th. (Reservation required)
