IMG_20181004_130431a.jpgFrom October 4th (Thursday) to November 7th (Wednesday) at the attached gallery izutuki, the long-established knives store Nihonbashi Kiya Main Store, "L'odeur de kyoto Exhibition Kyoto's Fragrance and Paris Color" is being held. I visited you on the first day.

What is L'odeur de kyoto?

"Scent of Kyoto" in French. Bag designer Rie Tsujimoto is produced in Kyoto.

Kyoto: Tassel (tuft decoration) made with bamboo roots that were independently studied and processed, and threads from a long-established Kyoto dye shop.

France: This fabric was chosen by himself in Paris.

L'odeur de kyoto is a new sensation of maguchi bag made by blending Kyoto and Paris.

It is said that sophisticated adult women can choose as one of the items that express themselves in various scenes, and the model of the image is also done by themselves.

By the way, Kyoto and Paris are sister cities, this year marks the 60th anniversary of our partnership.

Lacquer series

A work that collaborates with L'odeur de kyoto on traditional Japanese techniques.

Craftsmen of Wajima lacquerware and Wajima lacquered poured their skills into bamboo roots in Nishiyama, Kyoto.

Makie master, Hideki Furuhara, lacquer artist Kazutaka Furugomi, etc.

Since bamboo roots contain moisture, they have been shunned as a lacquered material.

In addition, since the surface was not flat, it was a material that was difficult to apply lacquer work.

However, the tasteful texture and expression created by nature are full of undisposable charms.

Please enjoy the work finished by a lacquerware craftsman in Wajima while taking advantage of the goodness of Takene.

In addition, Aiko Nic Tassel uses high-quality, colorful yarn from a long-established dye shop in Kyoto.

Of course, the perfection as L'odeur de kyoto's bag is wonderful.

It is a 2-way type that can be used as a clutch by removing the chain as well as a shoulder but also as a thin gusset.

As an accent, tassels made from yarn from a long-established Kyoto dyeing shop are also attached.

Handmade, very tasteful.

It can be matched with both Western and Japanese.

・・・ Prices range from 51,840 yen for corron and Myanmar silk to 159,840 yen for lacquer series.

It's a very popular item. In addition, it is a product sale that does not have the same product. Please forgive me when it is out of stock.
