Benibana Tokiwamansaku, blooms in autumn.

Benibana Tokiwamansaku is blooming red flowers in the planting space at the base of Tsukiji side of Irifune Bridge.

It's the red on the map above.

At first, I thought it was a different flower.

I thought that the so-called Japanese witch hazel flowers would bloom from April to May as a spring-telling flower.

However, according to books, some of them seemed to bloom in autumn, and I was convinced that this characteristic flower was only Japanese witch hazel.

Tokiwamansaku is an evergreen Odaka tree of the family Tokiwamansaku.

The color of the flower is very light yellow in the basic species, but the red species, Benivana Tokiwamansaku, is also often cultivated.

Flowers have four petals like a thin ribbon.
