"~ Old Map Town Walking ~ Oedo Nihonbashi Past and Present Tour" ~ Nihonbashi Tourist Information Center ~

[rosemary sea] Nov. 19, 2018 12:00

This is a rosemary sea, which covers "gifts and enjoy yourself" as a style.

From Nihonbashi Tourist Information Center and the center of Nihonbashi, we provide hot information about how to enjoy the city of Nihonbashi, including ship information, information on long-established stores and famous stores, sightseeing spots, information on events and festivals, etc.

IMG_20181104_202014 (2)a.jpgSunday, November 4 was the 11th Chuo-ku Whole Museum 2018.

On the day of the event, in front of the Nihonbashi Tourist Information Center at the base of Nihonbashi, one of the events, "~ Old Map Town Walking ~ Oedo Nihonbashi Past and Present Tour" was being held at the Flower Plaza.

A booth was set up at the event of the Nihonbashi Regional Renaissance 100-year Planning Committee.

The Nihonbashi Tourist Information Center is also helping you.

On the day's bus volunteer guide also recommended this event with Mike Rosmari, after getting off the bus, we headed for this event.

All images can be enlarged by clicks.

The subtitle is "Let's go around Nihonbashi with an old map and enjoy solving the mystery!"

Using a smartphone, install the free old map application "Oedo Konjaku Tour" and take a quiz about various spots in Nihonbashi.

If you get both the correct answer and stamp and go to Nihonbashi Tourist Information Center ...

It is a game in which various Nihonbashi goods are presented by lottery.

Depending on the correct answer and the degree of achievement of the stamp, the lottery is also variable, 1-3 times.

IMG_20181104_142256_1a.png IMG_20181104_142335_1a.jpg

This time, we also took care of Mr. Shiro Yamamoto, the operation manager of the Nihonbashi Tourist Information Center.

IMG_20181104_202630 (2)a.jpg

The problem was like this.

For correspondents, the answer was naturally ... Rosmari also understood all the answers, but because it was a project with the intention of "city tour" to go to the answer place and "check in", stamping without interviewing I couldn't do it, and I gave up participating in the event itself.

By the way, the app "Oedo Past Tour" is ...

This app was released last December.

This is an application developed by five companies: JR East Planning, JAF Media Works, Jingeisha Co., Ltd., Bemap Co., Ltd., Fuji Television Co., Ltd., and created and developed a production committee.

It is said that an old map of Edo in late Tokugawa shogunate was produced under the supervision of Keiji Nakagawa, an authority on ancient maps.

Since this old map has been newly drawn, it is characterized by no gap or distortion from the modern map.

It was a great success. After completing this event, he returned to Nihonbashi Tourist Information Center and turned it with a rattle ...

It's a wonderful prize. Every time the top prize came out, the bell was ringing high.

IMG_20181104_142735a.jpg IMG_20181104_142629a.jpg

It seems that there were about 400 people participating.

These prizes were provided by shops in Nihonbashi.

I don't know which one, but there were some coveted items.

IMG_20181104_140722_1a.jpgIn front of the tent, we were able to talk with Satoshi Kaimoto, General Manager of Bemap Navigation Division, Inc., about the developer side.

The right side of the image is Kaigen-san.

By the way, on the left is Etsuji Ono, representative of the Hair Salon Ono Group, who is helping with this event.

Hair Salon Ohno Group develops hair salons in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, Osaka, and overseas. I will introduce it later.

This is the story of Mr. Kaigen.

・・・ All of our maps have been raised again, so it fits perfectly with the current map.

Dr. Nakagawa drew all the 23 categories of Tokyo, and we turned it into an app.

Dr. Nakagawa is a painting teacher who originally draws the cover of a weekly magazine.

It's a so-called painter.

Do you say that it is a half hobby, and there is a chance and we have published such an old map book, but we can digitize it and somehow make a business?

IMG_20181104_141030a.jpg IMG_20181104_141037a.jpg

There is paper (of old map), but it is thick and hard if you carry it around.

You can also display both screens (old maps and modern maps).

It is easy to understand that there are irrigation canals and culverts.

You can also see the house.

IMG_20181104_141102a.jpg IMG_20181104_141104a.jpg

Dr. Nakagawa has been drawn for decades, and the app itself has been spending about a year.

As an event, we aim to have you walk while watching this and let you know the old Edo.

There are quite a lot of shops in this Nihonbashi area, and the names of Ninben and Nishikawa remain.

IMG_20181104_141603a.jpg IMG_20181104_141614a.jpg

The magazine called "JAF Mate" (JAF Mate) has a special feature every month.

People who like "Onihei Criminal Book" also like this app.

IMG_20181104_141628a.jpg IMG_20181104_141720a.jpg

There is also a permanent rally. You can enjoy it at any time.

I think this app matches quite well with Nihonbashi. ・・・

If you allow location information ...

Just click on the upper right corner to fly to the place where you are currently standing.

Also, even if you are not in Nihonbashi, it is easy to display Nihonbashi.

IMG_20181106_091757a.jpg

When you open the app ...

IMG_20181106_091803a.jpg

Edo Castle on the old Edo map is displayed first.

IMG_20181106_091908a.jpg

Moving to the present age, the Imperial Palace...

IMG_20181106_091936a.jpg

(Contemporary) You can find Tokyo Station right away.

IMG_20181106_091955a.jpg

If you move Eitai-dori St. to the right, you will see Nihombashi Station.

IMG_20181106_092030a.jpg

Move a little up (north) to Nihonbashi (bridge) ...

IMG_20181106_092123a.jpg

If you move to Edo from here, Nihonbashi (bridge) in the Edo period ...

Mr. Nishikawa, a futon? Is Mr. Haibara here? It's a different place, isn't it?

You can also see the word "Shirakiya".

IMG_20181106_092512a.jpg

(Contemporary) If you move Jisshi Park to Edo ...

IMG_20181106_092538a.jpg

(Edo) Of course, it was the Kodemmacho prison.

The red dotted line on the road seems to be the route of "city pulling".

It's a bit colder.

With location information permission, you can stop walking and check your current location.

 Please be careful about traffic.

This app is very useful.

"~ Old Map Town Walking ~ Oedo Nihonbashi Past Tour" was an event only on November 4th, but everyone who is interested in Nihonbashi, old map fans in Tokyo's 23 wards, and correspondents We recommend that you use the app for this "Oedo Past and Present Tour".

It's a free app. It's easy to install.
