At Tsukiji and Namiki Shrine, which is crowded with new year worshipping visitors, the annual "Nanakusa Shinto ritual" festival was held at 11:00, followed by "Nanakusa porridge" in front of the shrine.

On the 7th of New Year's Day, the last day of the Matsunouchi, the mirror opening and the first full moon festival, and on the morning of this day, the seven herbs of spring (seri, Nazuna, Gyokyo, Hakobera, Hotokenoza, Suzuna, Suzushiro) that grew from the earth and wished for sound health.

Each of the seven herbs is effective, work on the stomach and intestines tired from the New Year's treat, and there is one aspect of nutritional supplement in winter when green vegetables tend to be insufficient, which can be said to be a reasonable practice.

The lightly finished rice porridge is a thankful hospitality that conveys the warmth and tenderness under the cold sky after a slightly darker osechi dish continues.
