The statue of the heavenly woman at the Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store and the marble pillars

[Yurikamome] June 16, 2010 09:00

The Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store was opened as an Echigo-ya, a kimono dealer in the Edo period, but in 1904, it became the first department store in Japan to declare the Department Store.

The current building incorporating Renaissance architecture was completed in 1935 (1935).

In 1999 (1999), it was selected by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government as a "Tokyo Metropolitan Historic Building".

It is also famous for the Lion Pipe Organ Mitsukoshi Theater, but I was always concerned about the "Tenjo Statue" in the central hall.

Here are some pillars containing ammonite fossils.

Statue of Godo

This is an image that symbolically expresses the basic philosophy of our customers, true heart.

It is a masterpiece completed by master craftsman Gengen Sato over about 10 years.

It was erected in 1960 in the central hall on the first floor of the main store to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its founding.

It is the moment when a heavenly woman wrapped in Zuiun descends on the flower core.

The whole picture was thought to you well, and only the center of the statue was large.

Ammonite

The interior, which uses a lot of marble, contains many fossils of various sizes from the dinosaur era.

It is called Ann Mogai and Kikuishi that are trapped inside.

It can be found here and there, such as pillars and walls in the Mitsukoshi Main Store.

Flowers and trees in Hamarikyu Garden

[Yurikamome] June 10, 2010 08:30

 It was a pleasant season.

In Hamarikyu, while the greenery of many trees spreads, many flowers are in full bloom in beautiful Aya, and rare butterflies and dragonflies are playing along with the singing of birds.

It's also fun to walk alone in the place where the general's garden used to be.

"Aiguro no Matsu" ... It is a pine made by naturally crossing Kuromatsu and Akamatsu.

After the rain, this color becomes clearer and beautiful.

The name of the flower is omitted.

In addition to this, yellow, pink, etc., each is full of beautiful flowers.

Japanese iris is the best now.

It's best to see hydrangea.

Introduction of fire boats (Fireboat)

[Yurikamome] June 3, 2010 09:00

The Tokyo Fire Department harbor fire department is located in the fifth town of Harumi, Chuo-ku.

I moved from Kachidoki 5-chome as a temporary government building on August 3, last year.

We protect us from both the land fire and the sea fire.

There are 5 fire boats and 2 water scooters.

In addition to being active in accidents such as fires at sea or broken overhead lines, rescue of lives, etc., we also raise welcome fountains when large foreign passenger ships arrive.

Miyakodori 119 tons maximum speed 20.76 knots

It is a large science fire boat that can discharge large amounts of water.

It is equipped with two water guns of 10,000, 7,000, and 5,000L per minute.

Sumida 39 tons maximum speed 20 knots

Equipped with a telescopic water discharge tower, it is a 30-ton class that enables effective water discharge to tankers and high altitudes.

    It's a chemical fire boat.

It has high pump performance and water discharge capacity, and can cooperate with large-scale, long-distance water transmission vehicles on land.

It is equipped with a 150mm water outlet.

Spray 4.9 tons maximum speed 30 knots

Harumi, Spray, and have excellent maneuverability to participate in pairs as rescue teams.

      It's a water rescue boat.

Fast 4.8 tons maximum speed 30 knots

We will act as a command boat at marine disaster sites.

Water scooters (Thunder God and Wind God) 0.38 tons Maximum speed 30 knots

It is effective in collecting information and transmitting orders at water rescue sites.

Until I lived near the fire department, I wasn't conscious of this kind of thing, but always let us know.

I am once again grateful that I have been active in protecting and protecting various disasters and accidents.

Every March, the fire department is opened to residents of the city, and it is said that it will create a day for interested people to visit.

I would like to take advantage of such opportunities to deepen my understanding.

※ As I posted on last year's blog, Costakurasica (large passenger ship) dive in the Rainbow Bridge.

"Miyakodori" and "Sumida" who raised the fountain high and expressed their welcome when entering the port at Harumi Wharf. I remembered that.

COSTA CLASSICA Entering Port again
