Good-bye, Kabukiza Theater

[Silver] August 28, 2009 09:30

Today I went to Kabukiza Theater for the first time in a long time.

Kabukiza was destroyed by the Great Air Raid in May 1945 during the war, but the current Kabukiza was rebuilt in January 1951. I'm 58 years old. After the performance until April 2010, it will be rebuilt due to aging. It seems to be a new building, but it seems that the taste of the current front entrance will be left.

Why don't you go to the current Kabukiza Theater? You can see it in one act.

I've seen Junichirou Tanizaki's "Okuni and Gohei" for 50 minutes of the first act.

I would like to introduce the performance in September.

One act, 50 minutes, 800 yen. I would like to focus on the play I want to see, or during meetings.

I recommend it before a drink.

The ticket office is slightly on the left side of the front.

Quietly, the Bon Dance of the summer festival in Akashicho began.

The guest said, "Civilization and enlightenment started in Akashicho," and he was a correspondent who wanted to tell you next time that this was a foreign settlement.

For these children, eternal blessing! +

Restaurant at the back of the 1st floor of Chuo-ku government office

[Silver] August 11, 2009 09:00

If you have a business at Chuo-ku government office or have no business, try the restaurant here once!

It is operated by a company called Atable Matsuya Co., Ltd., a group of Matsuya in department stores.

 Kuyakusho1.jpg

Enlarged from a lot of menus. Doesn't the price interfere with the business of the surrounding shops?

Kuyakusho2.jpg

White and calm atmosphere. The photo shows the inside of the shop after 1:00 pm. The plate on the wall is also fashionable.

Kuyakusho3.jpg

The most expensive menu, hand-made hamburger set. That's 680 yen.

Coffee, Coke 250 yen and sandwich 350 yen. Are you a sandwichman?

On the way back, get a useful information magazine at the ward office and return.

I think it's good to read coolly at the Kyobashi Library and have a meal.

Bon Odori at Tepposu Inari Shrine

[Silver] August 5, 2009 09:00

The Bon Dance Festival has started in a park next to Tepposhu Inari Shrine. It's until August fifth. (There is cancellation of rain.)

The poster below is cute, isn't it? The color of the watermelon is not only red, but also yellow.

Kinjiro Ninomiya, from the neighboring gunpowder Inari Shrine, is also swayed. It looks like I was looking at it.

Teppou2.jpg

The St. Luke's Tower from the gunpowder to Tsukiji seemed to be particularly stretching and watching.

Elementary school girls are also mixed with their mothers and grandmas, and "This is Edo Bon Dance".

Teppou4.jpg

Dotarebachi samba, Oedo Tokyo Ondo, Heisei Japan Hometown Ondo, Tokyo Ondo, Coal Mine, this is Edo Bon Dance, Shonen Yagibushi, Dancing Hero, Bahamas Rama, Zumpa Ondo, 2000 Ondo, Zundkobushi, National Town Ondo, Chuo Gakuen Ondo, etc. Nostal songs such as songs to listen to for the first time. People from the local town council open a store. It's very cheap and delicious. By all means, please.

Bon Odori at Tsukiji Honganji Temple

[Silver] August 5, 2009 09:00

Bon Odori at Tsukiji Honganji is held from August 4th to 6th.

The main hall, designed by Chuta Ito, is always strict, but everything is wrapped in dusk.

It seems to heal us softly. When we get there, let's get together with main hall first.

Museum in Kachidokibashi (optimal for free study during summer vacation)

[Silver] August 1, 2009 11:21

In summer, we will start production. It is a season when children often play in the pool and go out.

I think it's interesting to learn about the history of Chuo-ku, especially the history of Kachidokibashi and the structure of the bridge.

I have participated in a tour of the pier. You can put it in the bridge.

From the overview, there is a signal for the passage of the ship, and the bridge is hitting a pedestrian signal when jumping up or a waiting line (stud). (I didn't notice even when I walked a lot.)

Please read the photo at the time of the tour, so please read it to the end.

Museum in Kachidokibashi (from the website)

Kachidokibashi, built based on the Tokyo Port Rebuilding Plan, was built with the best of the state-of-the-art technology at the time, in order to use it as the main gate for the World Exposition, which was scheduled as a national event at the time. The Expo itself was canceled due to the intensification of war, but Kachidokibashi was completed on June 14, 1940.
Kachidokibashi, which opens and closes the center, was the largest in the East as a jumping bridge at the time of completion, but due to a decrease in the number of ships sailing on the Sumida River and an increase in traffic volume, etc. Finally, it is now a bridge that does not open.
The museum has renovated the substations used to open the bridge, and displays and discloses valuable materials and related information on the bridges of the Sumida River, including Kachidokibashi. In addition, huge machines for opening the bridge will be released through a tour of the pier, which requires a reservation.
