Nihonbashi Takashimaya Important Cultural Property Tour September 25 Opening of the new building

[Ginzo] 14:00 on September 23, 2018

I went on an in-store tour of Nihonbashi Takashimaya.

Following the "Pokemon Center" the other day, I learned that Nihonbashi Takashimaya's history from the time of construction, the explanation up to the designation of the first important cultural property in the department store, and the fact that there is a great commitment to the design (design) in the store, I learned a lot. To commemorate the tour, we received a pin badge of the building in Takashimaya. (It's on the Pokemon clear file)

He said, “Oh! Don't know about Takashimaya! It seems to be praised, and it is a little high nose.

The website of Takashimaya is here. https://www.takashimaya.co.jp/tokyo/ The new building will open on September 25th.

 Congratulations.

Kashima Art Watanabe Shotei Exhibition until September 29

[Ginzo] 09:00 on September 21, 2018

At the Kashima Art of Kyobashi 3-3, Watanabe Shotei exhibition is being held from September 15 to September 29.

In the shop's show window, there is a display of "White Hatto Flower Map" drawn by painter Watanabe Shotei, which has become a picture plate by Sosuke Namikawa.

In this exhibition, from January to December, there are twelve width pairs depicting each month.

In addition, Sosuke Namikawa's cloisonne works, which sublimates the sketch drawn by Shotei into a streamlined craft form, are also on display.

These two works are on display as cloisonne ware between the flowers and birds of the Akasaka State Guest House.

Just the other day, at the Akasaka State Guest House, I saw an exhibition 100 years after the death of Watanabe Shotei. Please take a look at the many works that can not be seen at the guest house in Kashima Art.

The company's URL is here. https://www.kashima-arts.co.jp/

TAVERNA UOKIN Origin of the name of Taberna Carpaccio, where fish are delicious

[Ginzo] 14:00 on September 18, 2018

I went to TAVERNA UOKIN in Edglan, Kyobashi. When written in katakana, it is written as "taberna", but it is not "do not eat", and TAVERNA is Greek, meaning tavern. In English, the izakaya is called Tavern. When I was young, I often enjoyed eating and drinking at the West Indian Tavern Cafe & Bar on the Caribbean island, so I remember the meaning well. Previously, I wrote an article about Walkin Piccolo at Ginza 1-chome, and this fishkin group shop offers fresh seafood delicious and cheap food. You can benefit from Happy Hour at the terrace seat at the storefront.

I went into the store, looked at the menu, and ordered without hesitation.

"Six pieces of carpaccio of seafood". The one on the right side is the one.

And the ahijo of the octopus and shrimp. (The photo shoot was delayed by a third.)

You can also choose from the recommended wines, starting at around 700 yen for a glass of wine. Buon appetito!

By the way, do you know the origin of the name "Carpaccio"?

A woman who told a doctor not to eat heated meat consulted with the restaurant owner and offered it a "bright red raw beef thin sliced meat" created instantly. It is said that the owner, who asked the name of the bright red sliced meat, answered that it was "Carpaccio" because it was difficult to answer. At that time, a painting using vivid red (red) was displayed at an exhibition by a painter called Vittore Carpaccio, so he gave his name. It was introduced along with the work of this painter, Vittore Carpaccio, "The Meeting between Pilgrims and Pope". (Source: The History of Western Art by Taiji Kimura)

MARIAGE FRE'RES TEA RESTAURANT in Ginza

[Ginzo] 14:00 on September 16, 2018

I found a Mariage Freres store on Suzuran Street in Ginza.

I had the opportunity to enter the store and listen to the story. A week later, I found TEA RESTAUANT on the second floor of the Ginza Miwa Building, a store where Mitsubishi UFJ Bank is located on Matsuya Street on Ginza Street. Proceed through the passage surrounded by nice furniture on the second floor,

When I entered the restaurant, it was very clean based on white, and it was a very quiet restaurant at 3 pm.

"I want to enjoy delicious tea in the afternoon slowly," he decided on tea on this day. On this day, I ordered a variety called MARCO POLO. My friend ordered a new tea that had just arrived, and it was a variety that was not yet on the menu.

1536358880202.jpg

I enjoyed two types of tea, but I clearly understood the difference between the tea extracted from the tea bag with delicate taste, slightly fruity aroma and taste tea. For the next afternoon-tea, I would like to taste a very beautiful, delicious cake.

You can enjoy 3 to 4 cups of tea in the pot, and tea for around 1,000 yen is worth it.

You can purchase a book called L'ART FRANCAIS DE THE' "French Tea Art" for a fee (¥2,700, excluding consumption tax).

1536358860648.jpg

Beginning on June 1, 1854 with the introduction of Henri Mariage and Edouard Mariage, founders of Mariage Freres, a French tea specialty store called "Maison Dote", the history and characteristics of tea can be enjoyed by illustrations in the book.

In this photo and article, we asked the shop to listen to the story, and allowed the restaurant to take photos and publish articles. Please see the URL of the company and shop here. http://www.mariagefreres.co.jp/

Lottery Dream Hall Lunchtime Concert I've heard wonderful performances and songs

[Ginzo] 14:00 on September 12, 2018

The Lottery Dream Hall (Tokyo) is located at 2-5-7 Kyobashi.

I went out several times, listened to performances and songs, and had a good time, so I will report.

1) Wednesday, July 18 Lunchtime Classic Concert

Natsuko Kanke (mezosoprano) and Ichiro Hasebe (cello).

 The progoram,

Giordano: From the opera "Fedora" ~ This thought that I can't help but love ~

Arne: To Chloris, Bellini: Let me please, J.S. Bach, Barcel's song followed,

Two songs, written by Shuntaro Tanikawa, "Patsunen" composed by Toru Takemitsu, and "What the Dead Man left" were also played and sang.

In a familiar movie music, Ni-no Rota's "Theme of Godfather Love" was fascinated by the sound of the cello added to the piano. "Theme of Romeo and Juliet" was a singer singing as Juliet.

 Taliaferri's "passion" was also wonderful.

2) Wednesday, July 25 Lunchtime Dream Concert

This day was not a classic, but a dream concert.

Satomi Fukuda (latin vocals), Joji Sasaki (guitar), and Yoshiyuki Sakuma (percussion) were fascinated.

First of all, my favorite Bossa Nova song, Garota de Ipanema (Daughter of Ipanema) is a Bossa Nova song composed in 1962 by Carlos Jobim of Brazil (Tom Jobim). It's a lovely song for a woman.

Next, the last dance started with me (Japanese), 3. Ama Paula (Mexico), 4. Quiencera (Spanish) percussion, and it was a light song that would make me want to step on the Mambo step. 5.Sad whistling (with guitarist and singing English and Portuguese)

6.Aruba Isin. It was a wonderful guitar performance by Mr. Sasaki. After that, the fun song and play continued.

I'm looking forward to the upcoming lunchtime concert.

The flyer was printed with Radio Japan Radio NIPPON 1422, so there is a public radio broadcast.

It was hot in August, so I refrained from going out.

Please check the following URL for lunchtime concerts after September 19th. I'm looking forward to it.
