I experienced making Ozu Washi Japanese paper.

[Sunset Hill] Nov. 8, 2012 15:00

The whole Chuo-ku Museum 2012 was held on November 4 (Sun).

There are many fun events every year, so I'm worried about choosing an event to participate in.

Participated in the Ozu Washi Paper Making Experience on November 3 (holiday).

All use a front mount because there is a risk of getting wet during work.

suketa.jpgI experienced it with the guidance of my teacher.

First, put the liquid of the strainer into the cagegirder, and then put the liquid of the strainer into the girder.

I will repeat the paper.

Hold the wooden frame firmly in the cage girder of the ship.

Rinse a small amount of liquid (liquid that becomes the base of paper) and throw it away immediately.

Next, draw a lot of liquid and shake it rhythmically about 30 times. Repeat it three times and finally draw a little liquid again and throw it away immediately.

Tororo Aoi is added to the strainer in addition to raw materials such as Mitamata and gangi.

This is to add troro Aoi to the raw material heavier than water to float the entire raw material.

Paper from the cage girder (liquid is in paper state)

To make it easier to peel off, the paper around the girder is used.

I'll remove it with my finger.

Remove the paper from the cage girder.

Next, suck the water of the paper with a machine.

(It's as if you were sucking it with a vacuum cleaner.)

kannsou.jpgApply the paper that is still wet to the dry wall of a thick iron plate.

Put it on and dry it.

Use a soft brush to prevent air from entering between the dry wall and the paper.

Don't get wrinkled. It is stroked with a brush.

I had a big wrinkle, and I had my teacher fix it.

We used the time until the paper dried to visit the Ozu Museum.

Is it strange that each flower oshi of ancient document is black?

Everyone in the historical drama that I see on TV is red.
At that time, ordinary people were told that black ink was black, and only those with high status were red flowers.

There was also an exhibition of a thousand cars. It's only a box, but it's quite heavy, putting a thousand cars in a box like a rat kid

It is said that it is difficult to carry on the shoulder. (The weight of 1,000 ovals is the Edo Tokyo Museum

http://www.edo-tokyo-museum.or.jp/ Simulated Experience is available.)

It took about an hour and a half from paper making to finishing.

The paper making experience is until January next year, and it seems that it will be closed for a while thereafter.

Thank you very much for having an unusual experience.

The row of cherry trees is also covered in autumn.

[Sunset Hill] Nov. 11, 2011 08:30

The row of cherry blossom trees from Shinkawa Park / Chuo-ohashi Bridge to Eitai Bridge is now changing to various colors.

ss43.jpgA tree has green leaves, red leaves, yellow leaves, and leaves of various colors, from dark to light.

Cherry blossoms are planted across the roadway, so the tunnel is dyed pink in spring, a green tunnel in early summer, and a colorful tunnel this fall, which delights the eyes.

ss61.jpgA week ago the trees were hardly colored yet. At that time, the gentle scent of cherry blossoms was drifting around along the trees along the river. I wondered if somebody was eating Japanese sweets, but nobody was there. It was strange.

Perhaps the effect of the harsh summer heat this year, I heard that spring cherry blossoms bloomed in some areas in autumn. I was careful that the cherry blossoms at Shinkawa Park also bloomed, but I don't think they did. (It may have been overlooked)

You can see the Tokyo Sky Tree well.

In Shinkawa Park, various kinds of autumn flowers are planted.

We enjoyed the Nihonbashi River by boat from Kanda River.

[Sunset Hill] Nov. 8, 2011 08:30

ssIMGP1394.jpgI participated in the autumn festival in Chiyoda-ku.

From the Izumi Bridge Disaster Prevention Pier in Akihabara, go through the Hijiribashi (the arch shape is beautiful) of the Kanda River, and from Kudanshita to the Nihonbashi River.

I will return to Akihabara at Nihonbashi Pier.

The water quality of the Nihonbashi River has deteriorated for a while, but in recent years, in order to purify the river, EM bacteria, which works to remove dirty substances from the river, have been dropped on the river. Many companies are also cooperating in the purification of rivers.

ssIMGP1395.jpgYou can see the stone wall traces of the Edo period, pass under the bridge overhead (the boatman lowers the ship by lowering the eaves of the ship), and pass through the beautiful arch-shaped Joban Bridge.

We enjoyed the scenery that can only be seen by boat, such as under elevated high-speed roads and under overpasses of railways.

The guide's announcement is Tokiwa Bridge, Tokiwa Bridge, Tokiwa Bridge? ? ? I hear it.

These three Tokiwa Bridges

・The uppermost stream is Shin-Jobanbashi Edo-dori St., where both people and cars pass.

・In the middle is Joban Bridge (formerly Tokiwa Bridge).

It is said that it was built earlier than Nihonbashi (established in 1603).

Although it is a walking bridge, it is currently dangerous because it is closed and cannot pass.

The oldest stone arch bridge existing in Tokyo. Completed in 1877.

The fact that the word "stone" is used instead of the board on Jobanbashi is easy to break, and the word "plate" is used.

There seems to be a theory that "stones" were used because the bridge is not auspicious.

                       From Chuo-ku Publishing Booklet

・Tokiwa Bridge, which is attended by many vehicles and many people, was completed in 1926.

Many people waved their hands, probably the people preparing for the "Chuo-ku Marugoto Museum 2011" on October 30.

It's hard to get rid of the fall.

It seemed that the sun had suddenly fallen, and Nihonbashi was lit with orange lights.

I thought that the new building in Mitsukoshi would look more beautiful than seen on the ground.

ssIMGP1409.jpg

You can see the new building of the Bank of Japan on the left, the old building of the Bank of Japan on the front, the money museum in front, and the Mandarin Hotel in the distance.

Let's make the local roads beautiful together

A group of young people was cleaning the planting of Shin-ohashi-dori St..

He wore a matching hat, and had his work gloves and a vinyl bag in his hands.

It seems that members of the Silver Human Resources Center volunteer to clean up from Tornale Nihonbashi to Tokanbori Street in about an hour. It was said that everyone is participating in the activities except for those who have unavoidable circumstances.

Around the same time, it seems that all other members of the center are cleaning Kajibashi Dori and Kiyosumi Dori.

Thank you for your activities and wish you not to get sick today because it was hot today.

They were divided into two hands and cleaned on both sides of the street.

  Lavender flowers along the street

There are still few flowers, but it smells faintly.

I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of flowers.

Spring is coming.

[Sunset Hill] April 1, 2011 12:25

Edobashi stuffed on Showa-dori. There is a small park near the Nihonbashi Post Office.

One of the highlights is the 4 to 5 sunshine cherry trees in full bloom. The color of the flowers is darker than Yoshino cherry tree.

It blooms at the end. (Amagiyoshino and Kanhizakura are crossed.)

In addition to the sunshine cherry blossoms, bokeh, kinkan, sinking flower, Shikonno peony, hydrangea, etc. are small, but the number is small.

Various kinds of flowers are planted.

Along the Showa-dori, a large cherry tree protrudes branches. Now the buds are still hard, but they are in full bloom.

Occasionally, this is also a spot for cherry blossom viewing.

There's Nihonbashi Post Office right next to you.

Next to the station is a potted "Postcard Tree Taraha". Modern postcards (postcards)

It is also said to have become the origin of the word. The leaves are thick and shiny like camellia leaves.

The back of this leaf is scratched, the part becomes black, and you can use it to write letters.

In addition, it is lined with the statue of Takashi Maejima, one of the founders of the modern postal system in Japan.

It seems that you can always see the statue of Maejima Mitsuru and the postcard Kitaraha.

I'm Sakura Okanzakura.

There is a large cherry tree at the foot of Eitai Bridge. Now the buds are swelling and pink little by little

Flowers are blooming. The branches are stretched widely, so it is very impressive when it is in full bloom.

Last year we had a lot of spectators. I'm still in the cold season, so I said, "Plum companion

Isn't it?" he was mistaken.

It is like an interseed hybrid of Kanhisakura and oshima cherry, and is said to be a variety that blooms in early spring.

The row of cherry blossom trees (Yoshino cherry tree) at Shinkawa Park, 50 meters away, seems to be still in winter.
