The St. Luke's Life Science Center Initiative (St. Luke's Life Science Center) was completed in 1994 as part of the facility development (block 3). St. Luke's Tower <Office + Commercial Building (47F)> A twin tower complex called St. Luke's Residence <Housing (rental housing with medical and nursing care services for the elderly) + Hotel Building (38F)>

It is integrated with St. Luke's College of Nursing and St. Luke's College of Nursing and St. Luke's International Hospital No. 1 (block 1: completed in 1998), which is connected to the deck, creating a network of three-dimensional green open spaces adjacent to Akashicho Riverside Park.

The open space on the 2nd floor is a rooftop green space, and the open-air terrace overlooking the large roof plaza in the front space where soft natural light pours down and the Sumida River with a good view will gently welcome visitors.

The outdoor terrace facing the Sumida River is connected to the Shinsui-Koen Park Promenade with a pleasant breeze, and the river surface is calm and soft.

A variety of urban functions that combine advanced doctors, jobs, housing, studies, and yu, and harmony of the rich nature of the four seasons.

A moment of peace makes you forget your time for a while.

There is a green road in parallel with the sidewalk on the hospital along St. Luke Street and the premises of the College of Nursing.

Beginning with the buds of spring, as the sunlight grows stronger, it brings the shade of trees and the tree leaks, and in autumn it provides autumn leaves, seasonal colors and healing spaces.

We spoke with Mr. Seiji Shimizu, the owner of Shimizu Pharmacy, the chairman.

Sho Shimizu Pharmacy was founded in 1924. It is a discerning pharmacy with the Satochan Museum.

There are plenty of things to do. Please come to Ginza Suzuran Street after inviting your family and friends.

Q: Direction to be pursued

A: We adopted a pedestrian paradise all day from 1:00 pm on the 365th so that everyone can enjoy shopping slowly with peace of mind. If the shopping street is fine, the city is fine! We will continue to promote the creation of a bustling city with the "Ginza Suzuran Street Festival" as a pillar.

Rooftop garden "Healing the Heart"

[Sam] May 11, 2010 09:00

CIMG2218S.JPGA Tsurubara tunnel, a slide for children to play, and a "Mube shelf" that is not a shaded Fuji shelf.
There is a wooden garden chair on the front of it.
This is the rooftop garden on the 6th floor of St. Luke International Hospital in Akashicho. It also plays a role in promoting greening.
You can see inpatients of wheelchairs and visitors chatting around the garden path, which was skillfully built during planting.

CIMG2270S.JPGFlowers that add color to the seasons.
I can hear the birds singing.
The lush rooftop garden is also used as a place to refresh inpatients and to meet and talk with their families. It is also a symbol of the hospital that aims to not only treat diseases but also to "heal the heart" of patients.

The flower of the alley in the open space

[Sam] May 7, 2010 08:30

Open space is a comprehensive design system of the Building Standards Law. An area that is open to the public and can be freely accessed or used among the open space provided on the site subject to development projects.
In Chuo-ku, due to large-scale urban development in recent years, the greening space in the city using this open space is increasing, and it is not only a place for "passing", but also a place for strolling, resting, and relaxation.
This time, I would like to introduce the seasonal flowers of the alley in the open space.

CIMG1934RS.JPGCompleted in 2001, Harumi Island Triton Square is a complex town that harmonizes the three urban functions of "work, play, and residence".

Three terrace spaces with the theme of flowers, greenery and water. There are 600 kinds of trees and flowers that welcome visitors every season.

It is also characteristic that many green spaces exist on the roof of artificial ground. Non-soil soil "light soil", "earth pillars" where Takagi does not fall down, "automatic watering equipment" where effective use of rainwater grows plants, etc. are devised.

CIMG2066S.JPGTsukiji Asahi Shimbun Tokyo Head Office completed in 1979.
The green space is located on the artificial ground slope ground and on the rooftop, and about 300 trees and plants are planted on both sides of the 99-fold small path.
In consideration of ventilation and drainage properties, we adopt soil materials and construction technology corresponding to the special growth environment.

CIMG1894S.JPG Tsukuda 2-chome LIONS TOWER TSUKISHIMA, completed in 2005.
In order to pass on the tasteful alley space that has remained in the city of Tsukuda for a long time, the alleys of road grass, alleys after rain, passing alleys, and alleys of thicket of trees have been restored.
Dosojin objects are found in the green garden of thicket of trees, where you can experience the nature of the four seasons.
Shibahara, where you can enjoy open spaces and a variety of flowers, also plays a temporary disaster prevention plaza in the event of a disaster.

Green Topics in connection with Green Day

[Sam] May 6, 2010 09:00

 CIMG1063S.JPG    CIMG1064S.JPG

Off Buildings such as homes and houses Chuo-ku in Gaomi collection area.

As part of the Midori Ichikatsu "Urban Oasis" concept, attention is also being paid to greening building walls.

In order to "visualize" the effects of wall greening, a temperature sensor is installed on the wall of the ward office building, and the wall temperature that is being greened and the wall temperature that is not green are displayed in real time.

First of all, I would like to introduce some examples of public facilities.

      <Ginza Blossom>        <Shiodome Pumping Station>                         <Yasuaki Elementary School>

   CIMG1067SS.JPG   CIMG1035SS.JPG    CIMG1835SS.JPG

It is expected that the living space of green moisture will be improved, not only healing the feelings of the viewer, but also reducing the heat island phenomenon, improving the indoor thermal environment, saving energy and reducing carbon dioxide.

In private facilities, in recent years, cases of wall greening have been scattered here and there.

There will be more opportunities to discover new cases in the future.
