To this point, Chuo-ku 1

[Ryokichi] March 21, 2013 09:00

Jogging lovers often run and go to various places, but the other day it became warmer, so I tried a "trip around the border of Chuo-ku". Although the distance varies depending on how it goes, even in a small Chuo-ku, it can reach more than 20 km.

The course starts from Kiyosu Bridge, changes the course to the Kanda River at Ryogoku Bridge, and goes around Yanagibashi and Asakusabashi. On the map, the southern shore of the Kanda River near Asakusabashi Station was intricate with Chiyoda-ku, making it difficult to determine the boundary. Proceed almost through the boundary. Crossing Yasukuni Dori, the wholesale district of Bakurocho and Kanda has a relatively easy-to-understand boundary. But it doesn't seem to be on the road. As much as possible, I went along the road at the end of Chuo-ku or near the other ward (at this time Chiyoda-ku).

Go around Kodemmacho and near Jisshi Park, cross several more streets, and follow up to Kanda Station. And this border continues to the inside of the JR Yamanote Line. Isn't there a few people who know that Chuo-ku is inside the Yamanote Line?

What I met here was the trace of Ryukanbashi. It is located at Joban 4-chome, Chuo-ku.

This used to be the Ryuka River, which separates Kanda and Nihonbashi, and it was the place where a bridge was built there. And even if the river is buried and the bridge is removed, part of the bridge is left. It seems that it is significant as a pioneer in Japan's reinforced concrete truss bridge. There's a plate to explain properly.

At the back right of the photo, there is a JR guard on the road heading toward Shin Jobanbashi. The Chuo-ku side is shown in this photo. The right and back are Chiyoda-ku. I come from the left back, go forward, pass in front of the Bank, and go to Tokyo Station Yaesu Exit, and further toward Ginza. However, the future will be another opportunity (the future is still long).

An unexpected plate like this is Nihonbashinakasu

[Ryokichi] February 28, 2013 12:00

This time, it is an introduction to the plain content, but I tried the theme of Nihonbashinakasu where I live.

After passing through the TCAT from Suitengumae Station, there is the bus terminal and the entrance to the Hakozaki Interchange on the expressway, but what I would like to introduce this time is beside it.

If you walk straight for a few tens of seconds, you will find a traffic light, and if you turn right, you will find a plate on the outer wall of the first floor of the apartment on the left side of the entrance to the expressway on your right, Nihonbashinakasu and Mebashi that was once there (2-1 Nihonbashi Nakasu). I decided to introduce it here because of the feeling that there is such a thing in such a place.

As the name suggests, this area, which was the Nakasu of the Okawa (Sumida River), and the Ukiyo-e depicts the state of the time as an area where reeds in the river grow (Hiroshige famous Edo Hundred Views Mitsumata Wakare no Fuchi).
Although it was once reclaimed and bustling during the Edo period, it was abolished during the Kansei period and regained its bustle during the Meiji period. Nakasu is like an island, and the current expressway is the Hakozaki River, which was connected by two bridges, Otokobashi and Mebashi. It's a simple name. It is also a name that makes you feel the Hanayanagi world. It is said that there were theaters, restaurants and restaurants in Nakasu. It seems that writers such as Kafu Nagai also went there.

Now, the atmosphere of that time has disappeared. The waterways were also buried with debris during the war reconstruction, and there was no bustle. Instead, Kiyosu Bridge is built, honoring the beauty of competing for one or two on the Sumida River. What does not change is probably the flow of Okawa. Visitors to Nakasu would probably have enjoyed the ukiyo-e break by looking at the river. Even now, the river is gathering people.

In fact, even if you don't care about Nihonbashinakasu, there are surprisingly many people who pass through this city through Kiyosu Bridge and Sumida River Terrace. However, this plate is in a place where it is hard to see. If you are interested, please look for it when you come nearby.

Looking back on the 2012 Tokyo Marathon

[Ryokichi] January 25, 2013 09:00

I can't wait for the Tokyo Marathon in winter, and I'm one of those runners.

I can't run this year after losing the lottery, but last year I was lucky enough to participate in the Tokyo Marathon 2012.

I would like to report mainly on the Chuo-ku section while delaying.

Application will be made in August of the previous year, and lottery results will be announced in October. The magnification of recent lottery seems to be quite severe. There was time since the start was confirmed, so I practiced here and there, mainly around the Sumida River Terrace. In addition, I divided the test run of the course into several times. In the last few months, I also participated in other races and started the race with the ability to run as competitive as distance.

And on the day. Fortunately, I was able to race in an environment where the weather was good and easy to run. There is no problem with your physical condition. At 9:10 in the morning, we started in Shinjuku, Tokyo Metropolitan Government. The race itself went in the same way as his personal best time.

If you pass through the guard of Yurakucho at 21km, you will enter Chuo-ku. Heading to the intersection of Ginza 4-chome and heading to Nihonbashi on Chuo-dori is the most exciting area. An atmosphere that you can't taste in other marathons. Cheering does not stop even if you go from Kayabacho toward Ningyocho. Hamacho is close to my home, so it has family support. Head to Asakusabashi and go to Taito-ku once. When you come back from Asakusa again, it's more than 30 km and it gets harder and harder. Again, cheer for the family. I will do my best for the voice of the people along the road. Take the intersection of Ginza 4-chome toward Higashiginza, pass through Tsukiji, Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge, Asashio Ohashi, and go to Koto-ku. This area is 36 km.

Then it will be my last work. My feet were close to my limit and I couldn't do it, but I managed to hold it to Tokyo Big Sight and scored in 3 hours and 7 minutes. I'm happy to have a new record for the first time in a long time. It was a fun 42.195km. And one day I would like to open the 2-hour range.

The Chuo-ku section is an important section from the middle to the end, and is also a fun section. The pleasure of the scenery and the support of the roadside helped the players quite a bit. Especially when I was running in Ginza, I was impressed. I want to participate in the Tokyo Marathon again, and want to run more in Chuo-ku.

I will support you very hard this year. It's lonely that I can't run.

Deep Fun of Tsukiji Market - Tsukiji Rice Flower

[Ryokichi] Nov. 21, 2012 10:00

Recently, because I'm close to my workplace, I often went to Tsukiji Market for lunch. Tsukiji Market is very famous as a comprehensive market dealing with marine products and fruits and vegetables with the oldest history of the Tokyo Central Wholesale Market in Tokyo, and in particular, marine products transactions are one of the world's largest trading scales. However, the story of relocation to Toyosu has begun to make noise about the news due to aging, etc., and I am worried about the trend. That's why I go to the market with the feeling of engraving the current Tsukiji deeply anyway.

There are a number of restaurants in the Tsukiji Market. It was originally for market participants, but it is also open to the public. Each has its own taste, volume, and price that satisfy the stomach of food professionals, and it is a fierce battlefield with many beloved shops, but this time we will introduce the most unique shops.

The shop is Tsukiji rice flower. I'm overwhelmed by this atmosphere. Photographs, ink painting, menu on the wall. Originally it was an eel shop, but you can eat a variety of other things. My husband communicates with customers through machine gun talk. If you are a weak person, you may have a high threshold, but this seems to be fun and many repeaters. This may be the reason for being warm in family management and full service. On that day, I ate a popular seafood bowl and Tsukune skewers. The ingredients are likely to protrude. I'm going to go here for a while. For a long time, it was almost like a store refusal to report, but recently it has come out and it may become popular. Hurry before that!

Missil came to Chuo-ku!

[Ryokichi] July 26, 2012 08:30

There is nothing other than a bench. The greenery of the undergrowth spreads, and the edge is covered by the embankment of the Sumida River as a soot-colored wall. On top of it. And the tower apartments on Tsukuda Island show its presence. New and old, nature and artifacts are mixed together, and the scenery like Chuo-ku. Don't you feel such an impression from the photo?

Minato. JPG

This is interesting because it feels fresh when it comes to video. The video of Mr. Children's HANABI (PV) starts from this park. And Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge also comes out. Missil was coming to Chuo-ku, didn't she?
Until then, I was worried about this park, so I visited again.

At the time of the visit, I sat on a bench like Missile Kazuhisa Sakurai. The open space is comfortable. Since the building is far away, there is little intimidation, so it seems to calm down. It was just before the rainy season was over, so the weather is a bit disappointing. But it felt like a good space for a little change of mind.

This park is on the side of the road along the Sumida River at Minato 2-chome. This area is an old city with a unique atmosphere left behind from development. There is a gunpowder Inari nearby.
However, there is a redevelopment plan, and this park is an ephemeral entity destiny that will eventually disappear. Will it be a big building like a tower apartment on the other side of the river?
If you are interested, please.

After the construction of the bank is completed

[Ryokichi] June 27, 2012 13:00

Bank a.JPG Bank b.JPGThe part that was being constructed on the bank of the Sumida River in the spring was completed. This time, I would like to report on this bank.

The location is the border between Nihonbashinakasu and Nihonbashihamacho. It is a place where the overpass of the expressway collides with the Sumida River. Under the highway, it was named Ayame Park, and as a result of construction, the park was connected to the Sumida River Terrace. As part of the Sumida River embankment maintenance project, other works were also performed here.

By the way, in the old days, this park, expressway, and the whole area up to this bank was a waterway (river) that created the topography of Nakasu between Nihonbashihamacho and Nihonbashinakasu. You can also find the ruins of dike.

This bank is very narrow, but if you go up the stairs from the Ayame Daini Park side, you will suddenly come out from the shade of the highway to the bright space of the Sumida River Terrace. I actually went up, but the space in front of it was a gap because the space in front of it was an expressway, the fire department on the left, the bank on the front, and the apartment group on the right I felt a very open and refreshing feeling. At that time, I enjoyed the change of space.

The bank itself has been well maintained and cleaned, but it is not so large. There is a two-person bench there.
Because it is a little high on the bank, the scenery seen from there is an open one. You can see the Tokyo Sky Tree, which is open and prosperous. And the traffic of the Sumida River. You can see Kiyosu Bridge on the downstream side.
The opposite bank is the area where the Basho Memorial Hall in Koto-ku and the Mannenbashi Bridge are located. It's a pleasant bench even if you sit down slowly. Isn't it a great place to see the Sumida River, which has been loved by the common people since the Edo period? Probably, it is expected to be a place for many people to relax in the future.

From there, take a walk on the Sumida River Terrace, and the upstream leads to Shinohashi and Hamacho Park, and the downstream leads to Kiyosubashi. It seems that the number of places where you want to stay on your feet during the walk has increased again.
