"Nihonbashi" wash

[O umbrella] July 27, 2010 08:31

This year, the event of "Nihonbashi Wash" was also held, hosted by the famous bridge "Nihonbashi Preservation Society". The weather was fine on July 25 (Sun), and as many as 1600 people participated in Nihonbashi Washing with many children. Here's an overview.

At around 11 o'clock, guests and organizers greeted the bridge near the waterfall square.

IMG_3550comp.JPGPrior to washing the bridge, participants threw "EM dumplings" from Nihonbashi all at once in hope of purifying the water quality of the Nihonbashi River. "EM dumplings" are also called environmental dumplings, and are cultivated as mud dumplings of microorganisms that work well for humans and nature, and are especially useful for purifying rivers and the sea. (EM is an abbreviation of Effective Microorganisms, meaning useful microorganisms.)

Next, "Famous Waters from All over Japan" was hung on the "Japan Road Mark" buried in the center of the bridge road.

Participants then polish the bridge road, sidewalk, balustrade, and pillars with deck brushes and large turtle scourers all at once. The "Japan Road Mark" buried in the center of the bridge was polished neatly on this day. IMG_3593comp.JPG
On the other hand, on the Nihonbashi River, a maritime fire boat from the Tokyo Fire Department, Kiyosu, was dispatched to discharge water to Nihonbashi.

It was a big event "Nihonbashi Wash," which was held by the public and private sectors, led by those who want to value Nihonbashi and those who love Nihonbashi. (In addition, after this, Nihonbashi will be repaired from July 26 to November 19 of this year (2010).)

Tsukishima Kusa City and Tsukuda Island Bon Odori

[O umbrella] July 17, 2010 16:51

IMG_2425 (Kusaichi in Tsukishima and Stall Tournament) comp.JPG"Tsukishima no Kusaichi" is a valuable seasonal market in Tokyo. In the past, there was a city that sold tray supplies such as horoku, ogara, and broom.

Now, the road of Tsukishima Nishinaka-dori shopping street is filled with stalls, and both adults and children are looking forward to Kusaichi. This year

It was held for two days on July 10 (Sat) and 11 (Sun), and I introduced it on the first day.

Synthetic (Tsukishima and Obon set) tcomp.jpgObon supplies were sold at Hanaki Hanazono. There was also a flyer on how to make a tray. According to that, as shown in the figure in the photo, "Makomo" with offerings is laid, seasonal vegetables and fruits, and ancestors' favorites are offered on "loin leaves", and "Eggplants" and "cucucumbers" are used to form cows and horses that pick up and drop off their ancestors. It is said that the rope of "Makomo rope" is hung with "Hozuki", "Wakame", "Inaho", "Kamanoho", etc. to make a sunshade blind. "Hempara" is fired on the evening of the 13th and 16th to welcome and send ancestors.

Synthetic (Tsukishima Monja Odori) tcomp.jpgSongs and dances were performed on a special stage set at the entrance square of the shopping street. Among them, the theme song of the "Tsukishima Monja Festival" scheduled to be held on October 9 and 10 was introduced. The song name is "Dancing, singing, whatever." Misaka Kansaka is singing. It's a very light and fun song. Please support everyone, including the release of CD / DVD on July 28.

Synthetic (Tsukishima Kusaichi, Children) tcomp.jpgThe stalls are full of nostalgic shops such as goldfish scooping, super bowl scooping, yoyo fishing, shooting, and triangular lottery. Some of them were fortune-telling tents by three sisters. The mothers of the town council were also working hard at the town council shop. Isobeyaki 100 yen, it was delicious.

Synthetic (Tsukishima Kusa City, shooting triangular lottery Isobe) tcomp.jpgAfter the grass market, a tray to welcome ancestors began on July 13. On Tsukuda Island, Bon Odori begins in a corner of the town. Bon Odori on Tsukuda Island, which conveys a quiet and deep taste, is also called Buddhist prayer dance.

On July 15 (Thursday), it was the last day of Tsukudajima Bon Odori, and it was only time for children to dance, but I went to the Bon Odori venue on Tsukuda Island. A quiet dance begins around 7:00 pm along with the monotonous songs and drums flowing from the central tower. At first it was about 10 people, but in 30 minutes it became a circle of 100 people. Before dancing, he joined hands on the unrelated Buddha tray in the corner of the square. I hope you will continue to convey the traditional tradition.
