Traditional Merchant Building Hamano Family Residence

[TAKK...] June 30, 2013 14:00

In the vicinity of Tsukiji, there are many quaint houses that retain the pre-war remnants.

Hamano Family Residence 1.jpg

One of them is the Hamano Family Residence, which is designated as Tangible Cultural Property residents of Chuo-ku.

It is said that it was built in 1930 (1930) as a combined house of the Hamano family, which brokered marine products.

There is a family crest on the rain gutter. It's an elaborate design.

There is also a "correct" character on the roof tiles.

The detailed design is elaborate, but it has a harmonious and elegant appearance.

The interior is closed to the public, but I think you can think of the life of merchants in the early Showa era from the exterior.

100 views of the wonder of Chuo-ku (rain) 2

[Satoken] June 28, 2013 14:00

It is the scenery I found during walking as usual.

I didn't care about it because it was a well-walking route, but I was worried because I was walking in search of a mysterious landscape.

The location is 1-4-4 Shintomicho. The Shintomi Bridge is over and the Metropolitan Expressway is running just below.

There is Onoya, famous for tabi, right next to it, so many people know it. There is something like five-storied pagoda surrounded by fences in that place.

I have no choice but to imagine it because there is no manual. It was up to you to think about the remnants of the Daimyo residence.

Hamarikyu Onshi Park in June

[kimitaku] June 27, 2013 14:00

"Hamarikyu Onshi Garden" is a garden filled with seawater. The Shiba Rikyu Onshi Garden in the neighboring Hamamatsucho is a groundwater garden.

It was made more than 400 years ago at the time of Tokugawa's sixth shogun Ienobu Tokugawa.

We took a walk in the garden. Japanese iris is beautiful. And hydrangea is wonderful.

He walks leisurely in the garden, but it seems that there are 250,000 m2, but it is large and spacious.

Beyond the pond, you can see "Conrad Tokyo".

Crossing the edge of the pond, going to the dock, the dock here, and the place where the 15th Shogun Yoshinobu Tokugawa fled and landed from Kyoto by boat. A ship from the Sumida River came in.

The buildings in the back are Toyomi and Kachidoki buildings.

Cross the pond. There is Tokyo Tower's condominium far over there.

To the left front of the entrance, a large pine is called the "300-year pine".

Just a nearby pine is in the middle of pruning. This big pine is also pruned and beautiful.

Please come to "Hamarikyu Garden" by all means.

Aunt's Morning Market in Ningyocho Katsugiya

[kimitaku] June 22, 2013 14:00

P1000207-1.jpg
Walking along Ningyocho-dori in the rainy season, a morning market began on the east corner of amazake Yokocho.

I heard the rumor, but an aunt is expanding the store alone and talking with customers with a smile.

P1000208-1.jpg The cucumber in the photo is wonderful. Cucumber full of baskets.

I tried to count the gloss of the morning picked, but I can't count how many there are. It looks very heavy if you have it. 。

The customers are familiar, and everyone leaves the store with a word. There are lots of vegetables in my hand.

I try to take a picture of my aunt, but I can't easily cut the crowd.

Looking at her aunt from a distance, she always smiles to the coming people. This woman is not just a man.

Since the store was finally vacant, go near, I squashing in and greeting with "Hello".

Aunt greets with a smile saying, "Konchi is a customer, cucumber is good, 100 yen for 4 bottles, let's lose a little more ...".

P1000211-1.jpg

When I asked, I started when I was still in my twenties, saying, "I was still a punchy ... hahahahahahaha" was born in 1928.

Young people may not know, but he said that he was doing "Katsuya" at that famous Keisei Electric Railway. Stop it 20 years ago.

After that, he said he was doing a morning market here in Ningyocho. He said he brought vegetables from his house in the morning.

"It's close to you here and there, it's nice," he said. Shortly after that.

"How about tomatoes, this is another, how about?" Everyone was happy to buy. 500 yen for 4 bags.

P1000209-1.jpgWhen I heard, "I don't have any money."

"It's good, I'm a hobby," "I'm boring at home, and I'm going to talk to you here."

"Young now, I can't carry this luggage, because I got on the train many times heavier."

In the 1940s, aunts of "Katsugiya" boarded from around Sakura, the leading car of the Keisei train at that time.

When I entered the city center, I went around to dealers from various places and sold vegetables.

P1000212-1.jpg Now, my aunt lives in Abiko. My husband came in a light tiger until 7 o'clock in the morning, left it here, and sold until 11 o'clock.

Today's aunt, the vegetables were sold well, and only cucumbers were left, waiting for her husband to come.

The shop is closed once a week on rainy or bad weather days. It seems that you can't go out unless you are in good physical condition.

Shake hands with your aunt. "I'll come again," he said, "You're well."

 "What's your name?" When asked

"I don't have enough to give my name,"

Grandma gave me the hot youth of Showa.

"Gallery Sunayama" during the special sale of ceramics

[Satoken] June 3, 2013 08:07

I went to "Gallery Sunayama" in the nearby ceramics gallery.

It was just a special sale.

It seems that it was moved to its current location three years ago.

In the current special sale, masterpieces who were active in the Showa era will be gathered together, and more than 50 items such as flowers and sake ware will be exhibited and sold mainly in bowls.

A lot of rare items are available, and the works of nostalgic artists are displayed. There is also a painting depicting the father of the owner, Mr. Ishikawa.

You can buy it at a reasonable price. Mr. Ishikawa, the owner, kindly taught me to me who is an amateur in ceramics. Please drop in at this opportunity.

The location is as follows.

2-11-5, Nihonbashi Kayabacho, Chuo-ku Yamaguchi Building 2F
