Land Use Plan for Tsukiji Market

[CAM] January 12, 2016 20:00

 Today (January 9) in the Nikkei Shimbun morning edition regional economic aspect, an article about the use of the former site of Tsukiji Market was published, saying, "Tsukiji, large ships are also berthing / Toyosu, and promenade is being developed." Toward the 2020 Olympics, and then, especially the Tsukiji and Harumi areas, are likely to undergo a major transformation.

 In the above article, it is described as follows.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government will develop a hydrophilic base that can be used by tourists on the waterside of rivers and the sea. The company plans to install docks and terraces along the Sumida River in Tsukiji by 2024. A new dock for small ships will be established in both countries, which will lead to the promotion of the use of boat transportation. The aim is to spread the appeal of foreign tourists visiting Japan as a "city of water."
 The capital will dismantle the unloading pier along the Sumida River in Tsukiji Market, which will be relocated in November, and establish a new dock. A terminal where large sightseeing boats can be used. The company plans to set up a terrace where cafes can be opened.
 The Tokyo Metropolitan Government regards the Tsukiji area as the gateway to the Sumida River. The plan is to develop a boat route that connects tourist spots such as the Tokyo Sky Tree (Sumida, Tokyo) with the coastal area, which is being developed for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

・・・・・・・

In addition to Tsukiji and Ryogoku, the capital has selected the Asakusa, Tsukuda and Ecchujima areas as waterfront creation bases. In the past, the law has made it possible to set up an open cafe in riverbed, and also held events to attract customers.

Temporary use of municipal bicycle parking lots has started.

[kimitaku] January 12, 2016 14:00

At the municipal bicycle parking lot from January 5 this year

Temporary use has started.

Immediately at the Bizenbashi Bicycle Parking Lot, I tried to use it.

 First, take a bicycle into the bicycle parking lot, then turn to the vacant number 33.

I'll put the front wheel of the bicycle. Then, in about 10 seconds, "Gachan" and the front wheel were cut.

Rock.

 I'll go back after shopping for about an hour, and then go to the tollgate.

 Enter your number 33 in the number frame.

 Because it is free, the front wheels of the bicycle are released immediately.

 I was able to embark on my bicycle.

 It's still the first attempt, and the staff is waiting.

 When I ask, the first two hours are free.

After that, 100 yen will be required every 8 hours.

 In other words, after placing a bicycle first

It's 100 yen up to 10 hours.

I was kind enough to teach you.

I've got a lot of luggage after shopping.

It's dangerous to go home by bicycle late at night.

I happened to meet my friends and drink alcohol.

It's very convenient.

 Let's enjoy your bicycle life safely using the bicycle parking lot.

For details, please see the December 1st edition of the ward bulletin.

Sushi, Daruma, Kokeshi and Welcome cat Eraser can be enjoyed at sushi restaurants.

[Silver] January 11, 2016 14:00

 Orimatsu, a food packaging product facing Nami-dori Street at Tsukiji Outer Market, sells erasers in the form of sushi, daruma, Kokeshi doll and beckoning cats.

The shop is located about 50m from the intersection of Tsukiji 4-chome toward Hamarikyu. (Phone 3541-0440)

Speaking of Tsukiji, it's not unusual for Food Sample, which has many famous fresh food stores and looks like food, but I didn't know it sells sushi, daruma, Kokeshi doll, and beckoning cat erasers.

This is an eraser in the shape of a sushi.

 Immediately, I gave it to my granddaughter who purchased it and stayed at home.

"How about sushi?" "Do you like egg-yaki?" The gesture and tone are very cute.

It's a nice, slightly fashionable eraser. Other dharma,

There is also an eraser for Kokeshi doll and beckoning cats.

How about a souvenir of Tsukiji? The price is reasonable at 350 yen per set.

I am very pleased with the souvenirs for foreigners.

(Note) It is stated that it is for children over 3 years old, and it is necessary to be careful not to accidentally swallow it.

Cave of Ali Baba @ Chuo-ku

[Nojinya] January 8, 2016 12:00

Holiday season during the year-end and New Year holidays. Due to the recent boom in Japan, friends often come from overseas. In the past, Ginza, Senso-ji Temple, and dinner were "Japanese food", but recently there have been a variety of requests for Tsukiji and traditional architecture. The other day, when I was having dinner in Ginza with a friend of France, I suddenly requested that I go to the "100 yen shop".

"Is there a hundred yen shop around here?" 。

~~~ I was going to hold down some shops that seemed to be popular with foreigners, such as the Apple Store in Ginza, Yamada Denki in Yaesu, and Don Quijote in Ginza 8-chome, but it was a bit blind spot. ~~
"Hundred yen shops are often located in Saitama, Chiba, or suburbs where bedroom towns are located, so they may not be in Chuo-ku?"
I don't want to go too far from this time because I already don't have much time in the evening and the trains are crowded. When I was searching on a mobile phone without hesitation, it was in Harumi (the only big 100 yen shop in the city was here). Immediately, from the bus stop along Harumi-dori St., take "Tokyo 05" to Triton. It will arrive in just 10 minutes.Daiso3.jpg
It is a 100 yen shop in the city center, but it is quite large and there are plenty of items. My friend also mutters with a happy face saying "La caverne d'ali baba (Cave of Ali Baba)" and throws goods into the shopping basket more and more. I remember a French instructor at the NHK Radio Course told me that the 100 yen shop was popular with tourists visiting France as the "Cave of Ali Baba".Daiso1.jpg
Did you stay for about an hour before the closing of the store? With a satisfactory face, lower a large bag in both hands and come out.
"I bought it cheaply, but it wouldn't be worth it if I got a taxi?"
"No, I don't have such a wonderful store in France! You may come all the way by planeAirplane."
。 。 。 The airplaneAirplane is a bit over, but it seemed attractive that it was not easy to find in Western Europe and where you can buy a wide variety of goods cheaply. It seems that sightseeing in Japan is also changing rapidly. Daiso2.jpg[Large kite in the Harumi Triton Square Grand Lobby]
